Stan it's funny to hear what y'all at the bottom end of the country call "north." Where JJ lives is North Florida, where that wussy football team with a fat old geezer coaches is North Florida. Tampa is CENTRAL Florida. Actually it's more commonly referred to as West Central Florida if we're getting picky...but I'm just giving you shit. EVERYTHING to you guys is NORTH!

Yeah, when in the world are they going to put up the damn fall schedule!? There's a big ol gap in Oct and Nov and we all want a piece of 'em!! But ain't nobody givin up no info.

Morena, I think they'll do a couple nites at Freebird again at new year's and hopefully a S. Florida show and a Skipper's show(s) late Dec/early Jan.

Hey ya'll, I'm going through withdrawals out here on the west coast with Kimberly as well. All I'm asking for is that they stop by Phoenix this fall and I can see a full set from them with a much needed Brighter Days and ya'll can have em after that.

And Kimberly, I'm with ya on the 22 days and counting. I'm not 100% sure that I will be there but it looks very likely that I will make the road trip out to San Diego and LA to see thier Southern Cal run. I've never seen back to back shows so I'm stoked about it. If I do make it, I will definitely see you there.

Sittin' here sippin' mightly fast, on some Malibu Rum and Coke, thinking about how many tortureous days it will be untill we get to see the boys again, at the Woodland Park Zoo, twenty minutes up 99, along the Viaduct, looking out over Elliot Bay/Puget Sound, on the way to the zoo......let's see.....THIRTEEN DAYS !!!! Oh man, and just when it couldn't get any better or worse, depending on how ya look at it, I was with my youngest, while playing in the park up the hill from our house, as we waited for my oldest to finish his karate class. Low and behold, their were people sitting out behind the Park Dept. field house, on the grass, just where I used to practice football, as a kid, some 37 years ago. I told my boy Mitchell, hey let's go check this out, looks like they are setting up to show a movie outdoors, like we do out back on the garage. Hell, Hell again, they was a stage, instruments, mics, people in lawn chairs, blankets, warm up music on the speakers,.....what the hell was going on I asked. The local residents/community group, started having outdoor concerts last year, with the help of local businesses. I live in Seattle, West Seattle to be exact, Alki Beach to be more exact, and these folks holding the event are less than 2 miles up the hill, in the Admiral District, neighborhood. Anyways, I get to chattin' with this gal, then with this guy John, who is in one of the two bands playing. His band is a Cajun band, and the other is a Neil young cover band, well as I chat with him, ask and tell him about the Winthrop Blues Festival, the sole reason for our going to that event was JJ Grey&Mofro, how I won the guitar, the dolls and the video, the soulful connect of their music...... just being a ambassodor of the band......SHIT.....what do I hear on the PA system's warm up music.....? Frickin' JJ Grey and Mofro's " On Fire" I shit you not !!, I grabbed my phone and called my wife "Doll Hat" and then called "JJhitsmysoul". I frickin' could not believe, there I was with my soon to be 7yr. old, dancin' a jig, singing out loud "She's got an ass like an Army mule", and damn near falling to the ground like a crack addicted ho from Aurora Avenue (old Hiway 99) near the Zoo exit, looking for a ride, only to be picked up by my wife, JJhitsmysoul and her man Roy, saddly telling me to get in, and clean my self up, cause we got a show to see.

Oh, buy the way, a little alcohol, not only interfers your driving capabilities, but it can most definitely screw with your typing too. bought 3 more tickets for the Zoo show, two are spoken for, and what to do with the third ?

Bloomington, IN Sometimes they come to a very small club in town. Most often, they play at the Vogue in Indy. I've also seen them in Louisville. Indy and LVille are only about a 90 minute drive.

How wonderful it is to have more than one place near by..........and 90 minutes is NOT bad at all. I gotta 30 minute drive to the Orange Peel and 4.5 hrs to Nashville - seen them there 3-4 times. The Boys are playing for the first, time since I stumbled across JJ's music, in Knoxville! That is a 90 minutes drive. The only thing is that I bet I won't be able to get any one to go with me again....they play the night before at the Orange Peel, and I would LOVE to see back to back shows, that would be a first for me. But alas, my local (or should I say loco) Mofronians have not stepped up to my level of admiration and appreciation of JJ and his ensamble fine of talent, but one of them may surprise me.......oooooohh Dan the Sandman and Mrs. Sandman.....lets get a good 'Fro fix - as my good friend Giggles would say!

I understand you've been running from the man
That goes by the name of the sandman
He flies the sky like an eagle in the eye
Of a hurricane thats abandoned

Oh and I say definitely go for the two-fer, it's a double your pleasure endeavor! =)

Alright SaNdMaN!! I can dig the resting up between shows too. My liver needs a rest between shows for sure!!

Not sure whether it was a fat-finger mistake or intentional but I do very much like the new name you gave to Sinshine. While I KNOW it fits for Giggles, it's appropriate for Sunny too. You know, simple hard working wife and mother by day (Sunshine), dominatrix by night (Sinshine!)
