Damn, Clay, your concert photography skills are superb! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah -- you captured that phenomenal Art sax solo! Wow! Man this sounds like an amazing weekend. Glad everyone had such a blast.
Dumb luck on the sax solo. I started taping 'Mississippi' cause I thought it was fun that JJ was substituting South Carolina for Mississippi. Damn glad I kept taping. Art did a solo on the last song--Junior--that was one of the best I've ever seen/heard, including tv, movies, live shows, whatever. (Goddam I wish there had been a taper.) A.C. told us afterwards that Art's solo had him in tears! He also said that Art showed him his reed afterwards and the damn thing was blown out curved and shit like it had a blow-out. I aint' sure what all that means, but A.C. also plays sax and he was highly impressed.
As for the surfing shot, I wish I could remember now who sent me those so I could find out for sure. I'll have to dig thru my emails.
At least FireFly didn't throw me under the proverbial bus and say "Clay must've taken the ass shot cause I didn't..."
Giggles, I had FireFly write 'em down cause I had no writin' instrument; she's surely lost them by now. But it was at least 6-8.
Yes, not only is Daryl wearing shorts, they are cord shorts, of course.
If i remember this correctly but there was this hairy dude sitting in front of us on the beach with a camera, you gave him a businesscard I believe, maybe he was the one taking pics and send them to you

Must've been the salt air that had Art go all virtuoso on his Sax! It still smarts that I made the decision not to go, what's being piss poor broke when I could've had priceless and cherished memories to reflect on for years to come?
Oh no need to check the emails Clay, I KNOW those pictures are of JJ, like I said not only did my "J"-adar go off when I saw them but I felt a slight tremor in the force on Saturday afternoon, it must've been caused by all the sighs of the ladies on the beach who witnessed a wet & shirtless JJ! :p
And I never doubted that Daryl was wearing corduroy shorts; but what amazes me is that they even make them in that material. I don't know about you, but I wear shorts to keep cool, and corduroy is too damn blasted hot to wear in the summer, shorts or no! ---------- Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History

No. (Pisser huh?) We've been to 13 shows in the last 6 months and my trophy wife said it's the best show she's ever seen them do (out of like 35+). Never fails one like that doesn't get taped. I'm pretty much in agreement with her but I think they're all good. It'd be great to hear it again.
There WAS videotaping going on though during Saturday's show. There was a guy with a videocam (real one, not a palm cam but a big one) that was left of me (stage right) in front near Daryl for at least the first half of the set. I don't know where he went after that. They had another camera that size set up stationary on top of some equip containers stage left--behind Andrew's head. It was there the whole show.
I gave the dude with the camera one of the fansite biz cards. Being we were like 3 feet from the left speakers I just mouthed and signaled a 'get in touch about the videotape' msg and he signaled yeah. I ain't heard nothing but it was only 4 days ago. By week's end if I don't hear anything I'm going to email the Windjammer and see what I can find out.

These guys were in-the-groove!!! It was a whole lotta moovin', whole lotta groovin', and lettin' it all get loose in South Carolina!!! Freakin’ AMAZING!!!
