Oh god that's funny.

Here's the code to use for photos. They have to exist on a server somewhere though.

OK

da peel will let us rent the front room before the doors open for a fee - they said probably $300 per hour - which would include a bartender and would be a cash bar. They said the pizza would be pre-ordered from Asheville Brewing Company who supplies all of their pizza at the show as well, choices are greek, pepperoni or cheese. Somehow I don't think the Silence Of The Hams will claim another victim on this occasion. If we had 30 people it would be $20 each to use it from 6pm until the doors open and then pay for food and drinks above that. Maybe Clay can invite the band and crew to get the numbers higher so the cost per head is lower. Oh wait, they'd be in the green room.

Sunshine...nope. I'll email you.

GTD, damn you're something else. You let NO grass grow under your feet fo sho.

Well, yeah, the numbers aren't real attractive are they? We'd have to have about 50 people probly to get it to work. I've heard ABC is good, but not as good as Barley's...true or false?

Lest we gotta a bunch of lurkers going that might want to join in. If we got folks out there going that don't have a password to the board here you can always shoot me an email at clay@mofrofans.com. About 50 or 60 people would get it down to where it might work out. Can't beat having the pre-party event at the venue. I imagine we could invite the guys to pop in for some free pizza.

Pre-party at the venue is cool and no lines. Drink while everyone else waits in line to get in!
Advertise it everywhere, charge 10 to 20 bucks a head and use the excess funds to support this website. I'll let you know how many people are allowed in the front room. IMHO ABC is not as good as Mellow Mushroom or Barley's.

Hey y'all locals up there...what might you recommend to some flatlanders to do on Friday nite? We're rolling in from Savannah probly late afternoon. We love THC but I don't think none of us in the group want to spend that kind of money on dinner.

Any recommendations for some good, not overpriced eats (not pizza cause that's Sat nite)? What else should we scope out Fri nite? Is the drum circle still going on? Is that a good place to hang for a while and check out the scene? I don't think we're necessarily looking for live music but if there's somewhere we HAVE to go or see we might could check out. There's the ghost tour thing but I dunno if that's worth a shit. Looks like we're coming up there into rain and chilly too.

Yeah I agree with you GTD it is cool. What do you mean by advertise 'everywhere'?

I like the idea and if there's anything left over then we'll see. I could use the extra dough toward the site but I don't want to give any appearance like I'm doing it for profit.

People are awfully quiet. We would need some significant hard core fan commitment before you advertise. If folks respond then advertise it on the great interweb and see what happens. Seems like a long shot tho

REALLY? I'll check on that. If so, I think you just took care of what we're doing Friday night.

Have you tried cloud seeding btw? Cause otherwise the weather forecast for Ft. Myers looks great over the next few days if you're a snowbird or spring breaker but sucks for you. I'm venturing a guess that the hopes of you going have dropped to 2 chances: slim and none; and slim done left the building.

Hey y'all Sunshine is serious about their award winning barbeque. They compete in barbeque cookoffs and have scored big against some mighty formidable competition.

Their 2008 team. (Sunshine is the one with the sunglasses on.)

I was told that ABC is not far away on Coxe and they have a back room that we might be able to use.

Aloso da peel may be able to get it down to $200 per hour

$200 an hour is not that bad, depending on how many of us are going. I know the Lee Boys are playing Friday night at the Grey Eagle. Are there any other cool night spots in Asheville?

The Emerald Lounge has blues/soul Gaslight Street with Kung Fu Dynamite. I am not familiar with these
so you might googkle them.

this link has all of the clubs:

http://www.mountainx.com/clubland/2009/03/27

orange peel, stella blue, grey eagle, and emerald lounge are the places that seem to get the best bands

Back from the dead... again!

Oh what a sickness I have been fighting off the past week and look at all that I have missed??? Imagine my shock as I come back to work today and check out the fan board and see " Adam Scone has left the band "

I mean daaaaayum! But it sounds like good things to come in the newest incarnation of Mofro. Nothing but rave reviews from you guys on the two gents joining in, so I am SUPER excited about the show Saturday night.

I'm not sure of my crew number just yet, people seem like they can't make up their minds these days! I know I will be there and I am bringing a sweet little beauty as well for her very first Mofro experience. I'm hoping to meet up with everyone. If anyone would like to drop me some contact info @ briggzz@nuvox.net I will gladly reply and do the same. Hopefully I can call / txt and meet up with the crew. We are planning to leave Greenville around lunch time and spend the day around town.

Can't wait to meet and rock out with everyone and check out the new sights and sounds we will have on stage!!!!

Ok here's the deal...

50 people can fit in the Front Room at da peel
It will have furniture & bartender.
You buy drinks and pizza.
If we use it for 2 hours and get 50 people then it would cost us 8 bucks a head. That's a great deal to get in early, no lines and hassle, get a table or right by the stage! Chow down and carry your groove into the big room to catch the show.
