Hmmmmmmm.......purring, I like the sound of that Jimbo!

Funny you should bring HoHo's up Clay, because the vending machine had both HoHo's and Yodel's! After pondering this mighty decision very, very hard, I opted for the Yodel's! Upon my return to my office, I told my co-worker of my wondrous discovery of the treats to be had in the vending machine. I wasn't even finished speaking when she took off like a bat out of hell down the hall! When next I saw her, she was lovingly cradling a package of HoHo's. So we decided to do a taste test.......Yodels won hands down, the cake is lighter and the filling is creamier! Damn! Talking about this almost has me excited to go to work tomorrow!!

Clay, when I come down for the Freebird Live shows, I will bring you and TW a care package of Yodels, Ring Dings, Funny Bones and Philly's own TastyKakes......you'll never be the same!

Speaking of the little things, there's nothing like stepping outside into a brisk winter's evening and getting a good lungful of crisp clean air!!

Light weight! I'm a heat meiser, I don't even put my heat on until it drops into the 30's!
You might be onto something there Obi Wan Clay-nobi, I seem to recall that when I came down last January, some kind of freakish cold front blew in! I remember everyone was freezing their asses off in Gainesville and I was running around without my shoes on! :p

What if my cardiac health is stellar as a result of being the recipient of a baboon heart transplant, will that still fast track my acceptance into JFUCKS. And does entry into this club come with a cool membership card??

HAHAHA! What sort of mule part transplant are you talking about jimbo? Because if left to my own devices my dirty mind will interpret that comment in the most lurid way possible.....lol! :p

I already have the ass of a mule, I don't think I could handle anymore mule transplants!!

Hell giggles I turn on the heat when it gets into the upper 50s. And yep we get a brisk cold snap a handful of times a year (low 30s in Tampa which means mid 20s in Jax.) I've been in Jax before when it's been in the teens. I bundle up more than people in Alaska in temps like that.

Mule transplant...I think I'll just leave that one alone.

So I guess y'all knew what I was talking about: wood, metal, wicker, rattan...for your stool sample.

Almost forget, yes gigs the baboon heart would put you right up there with those who are currently in cardiac arrest (they're at the top of the list for those to be considered for membership.) And no, no cool card, but each approved membership into JFUCKS comes with a year's supply of Twinkies.

giggles' daily "little thing" for this frigid December day is.......
Dunkin' Donuts coffee!!
I strolled on into to that delightful little donut shop this morning and ordered myself a trough of coffee! The best coffee is that which is made by someone else & prepared to your exact specifications, piping hot and ready to drink, no need to stop and fuss with putting your fixings in! ;)

Oh and my Christmas song of the day is......
Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses

I knew what you were talking about Clay, I was wondering if an ottoman would count?
In regard to the membership gift, can it be Chocodiles instead?

TastyKakes are manna from the gods!!

In regard to your Christmas song question I will defer to one of the veterans, one of them is sure to pop in here and have an answer for your question.

But I would love to hear JJ sing "Merry Christmas Baby", hearing that would definitely rank high up on my list of "little things", well above Dunkin Donuts & Yodels :P

what a very entertaining and informative thread!

no one mentioned Devil Dogs........

My "little thing" happened yesterday.....

We were all decorating the Christmas Tree, we had a fire roaring in the fireplace, Elvis singing "I'll have a Blue Christmas without you" playing in the backround.....glass of shiraz in hand. The boys were enjoying a cup of hot cocoa and Zachary went to the cupboard and got a big ole marshmellow for his cocoa and to my "feel so good deep down inside" joy, he gave Sawyer one too and to top it off, Sawyer said thank you!!

to be able to see my hard work paying off....I am smiling, I am I am!!
:o)

Thank You Giggles for reminding us that it is indeed the little things......

Today's "little thing" moment: watching the Grinch Who Stole Christmas with my son and singing the following song at the top of our lungs. God Bless the genius of Dr. Seuss!!

Oh, Clay I broke down and put my heat on, the temperature dropped into the teens. I knew it was time to fire up the furnace when all my pets were getting under the blankets with me to sleep!! :P

A Hank Williams, Sr cover?? Wow! That must've been quite a treat!
Do they even still make RC cola???

Life is good! :)

I absolutely adore having the house to myself, happens about every 3 years.......

Yeah, when I was 16 I was too pre-occupied with other things, and certainly did NOT want to hang with my mom. (Don't all 16 year olds think they know everything?) I understand your feelings kcarmony!

Life is good........I'm sitting on my back deck watching the snow gently envelope everything, and loving the peaceful quiet that it creates!

I have to admit to laughing hysterically at my poor little miniature dachsund, did you ever try to walk a 6" dog in 18+ inches of snow? It's downright comical! When I put her down, she was immediatley engulfed in the white, powdery snow. I was able to track her movements by the furrows on the surface of the snow. It reminded me of how Warner Bros. animated Bugs Bunny moving under ground! My poor doggie!!

I have to admit, I am curious as to how it tastes but at the same time thinking about canned sponge pudding makes me a bit squeamish. And don't even get me started on the name!!
I want to know what marketing genius came up with the slogan "Taste of Home, Delightful Spotted Dick", I don't know what kind of home promotes/endorses/encourages the consumption of Spotted Dick!

And morena anything spotted should never be considered porn, well not porn that I would want to see......I mean that's if I ever looked at porn (which I have never, ever done, I'm a reverend you know!!)
