All right mysnan! We'll finally get a chance to meet. You actually met my wife last month at Will's Pub...A.C.'s shows, but I don't think either of you knew it at the time.

Sorry bout that Jimbo. Been kinda crazy. Damn good thing I celebrate Festivus instead of Xmas or I'd have no time at all. But I'm set now (almost). I got my Festivus pole, I've been working out to prep for the the feats of strength, and my list of grievances is easy cause I update that throughout the year.
Daryl's show was great. They held him up from going on til bout 10:30 cause the crowd was light. It started filling up about that time. Lots of locals there who no Daryl from Mofro and I talked to some that said that's what brought them out. Unfortunately they stopped him with about 3 songs left on his setlist--one of which was Mannish Boy. That'd been cool to hear his take on it.
All 3--Daryl, AC, and Shane (bass player) were more comfortable and relaxed than when I saw them before. (That was only their 2nd show ever.)
At one point after finishing a song Daryl told everyone thank you and said "my voice is a little rusty. This is only the 5th time I've ever sang in front of anybody but family or practicing in my dad's garage." I thought that was very cool and very humble of him
The genre of music he plays is somewhat similar to Mofro in that it has a swampy funk sort of sound. Daryl's playing though is way different than the style he plays for Mofro. At the risk of showing my musical ignorance ("I don't know nuthin bout music, I just know what I like") he plays rythym for Mofro while with his band he plays a lead guitar role. He can hit some licks man. And Shane is a bad ass bass player too.
I got pics and will try to get them up in the next few days.

I talked to Daryl for a few minutes before the show. Course you gotta kinda lean into him a little cause he talks real low ("Jerry: he's one of those low talkers!"). But he was talking and laughing and shit. So what I want to know is this Jimbo: who is this guy and what have you done with your boy?
(He did have on rust-colored cords tho.)

Forgot...I got the setlist. After the show I was at the front of the stage talking to Daryl and looked down and saw his setlist. I asked him if I could have it and he said sure. I said "this is my first Daryl Hance setlist!" He said "it's only my 5th."
I got him and Shane to sign it (AC had to bolt right away for another gig.) I told Daryl maybe someday I could sell it on Ebay and make a coupla bucks.
