Prestage is the real deal. He's playing in Lake Worth next Saturday with Truckstop Coffee (Pete Stein's band from the Surfin Snook Summer Jam). Last time I saw him play, during his second set (of 3), I counted 7 shots of whiskey go down the hatch. Didn't seem to impact his playing - the guy is amazing.
As Tox stated, Ben Prestage & Pete Stein with Truckstop Coffee will be playing at Propaganda in downtown Lake Worth on Saturday 28 November. Propaganda has been dubbed as "South Florida's Coolest New Venue". You have to check out his "Cigar Box" guitar.
I plan on attending so look for the old guy with a Country Ghetto T-Shirt if anyone goes.
