So I'm thinking of taking my son Davin (13) to HOB to see the boys.. Do ya'll think that is ok? Maybe that is a question for the venue and of course that means I have to behave, lol.. he's a fan as well and a live show will blow him away!! I am pretty sure I have seen some youngins there before, does anyone know if it's all ages?
I checked HOB and yes show is all ages!! awesome!! His first show was The Dead at Redrocks when he was 8 years old and he's done Langerado but it's been a long time since he's been to a show. But you know how kids are nowadays, they listen to a whole lotta ghetto so it's time for him to get some ROOTSY CULTURE!!!
That's awesome, Morena. Took my eldest daughter to see the Grateful Dead when she was 2 years (RFK in Washington DC), my middle daughter to Harvest Fest when she was 2-1/2 months (LaFayette, Ga) and my son would have gone to his first at 2 months (Bear Creek), but we were a little short on funds. Hope ya'll have a great time!! I take it you will be at Revolution for the show the day after House of RULES??
Cool Morena!! There is nothing like enjoying music together with ones children and a live Mofro show to boot!! My kids really enjoyed themselves at the Greenville Festival. Not your typical club show, but there is time for that when they get older, lol!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
I don't think he's gonna hear anything that he doesn't hear at school or music that he may listen to. Hell, when I was 13 I could go toe to toe with a sailor. JJ does keep his language to a minimum at festivals and all age shows but I don't recall him doing so at HOB. But again it ain't like he's standing up there talking about humping or something. (Take the boy to a Chris Rock live show sometime and he'll learn some things that many adults will go their whole lives without learning.)

swkelley, yes we will be at revolution as well of course!!
Clay, definitely not worried about language at all. Kids these days know a lot more than we think. And if you watch his skatevideos on you tube all of the rap songs he has on them are far worst than anything JJ could ever say.. lol.... I can't wait to see everyone again!!
Check this out y'all. Damn that boy can skate! There's only a couple times he falls and he even does that well, he knows how to protect himeself. I'm impressed morena!
He rocks, Morena!!! I used to be good on a skateboard about 25 - 30 years ago. Got on one about 6 months ago and almost killed myself. We didnt have ramps and skate parks back then, we had to find empty pools!

thanks clay!! oh yes pool skating that's some gnarly stuff.. He's ridiculously good at bowl skating as well. You can see some bowl footage on my youtube channel.. I used to skate myself but broke my leg on a mini ramp and that was enough for me, the damn thing still gives me trouble 7 years later! so I stikk to the water, much more forgiving..:)
ok.......first of awl, how does he make the board leave the ground still attached to his feet to even be able to defy gravity to end up on a railing!?!?
Morena, he, Davin, makes it looks so effortless!! very impressive! :o) ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
p.s. very good looking youngin....... ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
