one day my imaginary friend, one day.......... :o) ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
But I can..........watching JJ perform that song with his sitar at the Peel......as Mr. D says..........Lawdamercy.....you can just feel the sensuality (is tht a word?) pouring from that man...........I can't wait til that wonderful taper gets that show on the LMA!!
:o)
delayed gratification!!!!!!!!!!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
OK- I am witness that Giggs was channeling JJ during move it on over (or maybe they have pre-discussed this)- she said it was tantric- then I'll be damn he said it not a minute later!!!
and at that time Frank was telling his dog to "move it on over" Frank was hillarious- so sorry you missed it live Frank.
the chat was too much fun I wish there were more webcasts
Giggles - sounds like you have a way of channeling thru people!!
Kimberly, sounds like you guys had a blast last night, next time I promise!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
I love any sentence that contains the words "Giggs", "JJ" & "tantric"......lol :p
I haven't ever discussed this subject with JJ before, but you can bet damn skippy the next time I see him....I'm going to ask about the Tantric Slinky! ---------- Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History

you are too funny girl!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
Sorry guys -- I didn't tape. In fact, I wasn't even there for the first couple of songs. Just feeling so out of sorts yesterday that I had to stay sober and take it easy. All the better to remember the show, I say! I just wasn't prepared enough to tape. It takes time, effort, and concentration -- all of which were available in limited quantities!
No worries Ashley. Maybe there was another taper there. If not, those who sean/heard the show should realize how lucky they are.
---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
hey, did any of he save a transcript of the chat? would love to read it, ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
but can you save it? maybe if someone copied and pasted it sumwhars..... ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
Well I know Frank attempted to rip the audio but there were a lot of drops so he didn't upload it to LMA. But if he still has it, maybe one of us could transcribe the JJ-speak!
Sending lots of healthy, healing energy your way Ashley! I hope you feel better soon! ---------- Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History
I mean the chatroom talk between ya'll, jj is funny when he tells the story about on fire and he hoes' well i better keep goin with the song, i talk to much" lol
one time he talked for like 15min, AC and scone meanwhile holding that beat in the beginning of the song, and jj says, i talk to much, i forgot what song i was doing, ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
O lordy.... Let’s hope that there’s not a chat transcript and “what happens in chat- stays in chat.” A couple glasses of wine and I was cussin’ like a sailor. We did notice- very early on that JJ was drinking and gonna be cutting loose...and looked forward to it!
Poor Frank depended on us to tell him what song was on since he couldn’t see or hear it. we listened and threw in offhanded comments regarding what we were hearing while we were hearing it because we couldn’t view the feed. I laughed out loud numerous times at the comments- fun group last night
And ps- Ash & Frank- not every show was meant to be taped- no pressure...don’t worry There is so much beautiful music of there, free, to be listened to, from giving people like yourselves. Sometimes the show it just the experience- whether you’re there live or watching it over a totally crappy video feed. I am just bummed Frank didn’t get to hear it.
Kim...you mean you don't sail? ha ha. A little buz 'l do ya. Chat room was a hoot last night. Great company, great music and some damn funny conversation. ---------- SaNdMaN
No.... do not sail- BUT my husband is a captain of a fishing boat...that must be where I get it from ---------- ~Music is what feelings sound like~

Here is someone's post on JJ's facebook. Thought they captured the show well...
"Been to countless shows, and last night was one of the best sets I've ever seen @ Tip's or anywhere else for that matter! Move It On was orgasmic, I Believe was powerful, and Ho Cakes was kick-ass! Set list said it all....need I say more? Just glad I could breeze in to catch it all, and anytime you need a Slinky..."
He was so stoic playing the bass... looks like he is having a great time playing with the boys. thanks for finding the clips and everything else you find. Are you a professional internet searcher??!! lol

"Bass boy" as I called him, cracked me up all 4 times that I saw Shooter. He seemed to be attempting to channel a Jimmy Page-esque aura with his choice of clothes and come hither expressions. In Jacksonville he was VERY interactive with the female fans in the audience during their set. By the way the middle aged soccer moms in front of me were shreiking, you would've thought Davy Jones was in the building! :p
Hahaha! I wish I got paid for playing on the computer, it would be like a dream come true. I'm just trying to do my part and contribute to this great little community! ---------- Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History

yeah, ted russell, shooter bass player, has lots of his own stuff/band going on, i talked to him and his girlie after the tip's show, nice guy, he said he had a blast touring with mofro ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
I enjoyed "bass boy"s performance as well, but I had a different perception........he looked as if he was auditioning for a porno while playing his geetar....I guess giggles called it a come hither expression...
cool that they all got along
:o)
davy jones, lol!!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
well.. he's got kind of 70's porno hair,to go with the shirt, while talking to him, 'boogie nights' came to mind, lol ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
Come to think of it, he also has a Porn-stache! :p
I'm not kidding Sunny, the women in front of me at Maverick's literally had hearts in their eyes, swaying and sighing whenever Ted made eye contact with them! :p ---------- Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History
haha giggles, was it those 2 ladies in front of us that didn't budge during the mofro show??they had the shooter setlist and left after lochloosa, guess the light hip-swayin made them dizzy
bass-boy was kinda cute actually.. ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
right?? funny, we were grooving and they were standing still. don't think even bass-boy would like woman like that, you GOTTA SHAKE WHAT MOMMA GAVE YA! ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
