Thanks Giggles, it's been a while since they've been in AZ, September of last year was the last time. Since then, I've traveled to Dallas and Southern California to see them. JJ said they were going to be in AZ in early December when I asked him about it after the LA trip, sure enough, they will be there.
I also got an email from Alligator Records saying that the Vinyl Record shipped today? Anyone else that ordered thiers online get the same thing?
Either way, turned out to be a pretty damn good Mofro Day. Now if only I could come across a couple grand in cash to bid for the fishing trip with JJ, but I can't be getting greedy now, can I?

I am very jealous - JJ never made it to Boston on this go round - I saw J Tyler and the northern Lights open last Jan. at HOB Orlando and they were great - Also saw them 3 weeks ago at ACL fest - Should be some amazing nights of music.
JJ,
Boston needs you!

Awesome DT!!!! VERY happy for you to see them close to home. And I received my email from Alligator Records yesterday that my vinyl record shipped yesterday. I have a silly question............do they still sell record players??!?!! We may have an old one laying around, but how else would I listen to it? I am very eager to hear JJ's version of Tupelo Honey!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."

Dec 10 at the Fillmore....I'm there. My favorite band of all time in one of the most historic music venues in the country. Can't wait for that trip.
Clay, I see Shuckin Footer will still be on the bill at the Fillmore. Any word on who finishes the set? Maybe I should start chanting Encore now so he won't play over.
Hey Sunshine, as for record players, you can get one at Target for $100. It is a Crosley. I have one, it gets the job done. For a more high end player (around $250-300), check Best Buy.

Looks like these added dates have made some people happy! The guys have done a helluva a job this year at trying to make as many of the regular markets they can while trying to add new ones too. I admire their work ethic and dedication. I know it's fun up there playing and entertaining all of us. But the hours in between can get old and tiring. My hats (all of 'em) off to them for working so hard at trying to keep us all happy.
On that note, better see 'em now while you got the chance. Those empty dates you see on the sched after the Jan 8 and 9 show are pretty much it til March. Damn. You mean these guys need REST? Shit. I was just admiring them and now you tell me they need REST?
Honestly, I have no inside info other than knowing there's a lot of break time in there. As to whether they're going to schedule anything here or there during those months I do not know. I have my doubts, but that's just my personal opinion.
But these guys can't keep their hands off their instruments. (I'm not sure that came out the right way.) My guess--purely a guess--is that those in Central Fla can catch AC playing at any number of places during that time. I'll see if I can find out if the Greyhounds are gonna play any dates in Jan and Feb--there may already be something up on the MySpace page...I haven't looked. If they are then I'd guess they'll play around Texas and them thar parts. Art will be sitting in with somebody somewhere in Memphis. I also see him maybe being picked up for the next season of Dancing With the Stars. Dennis will probly play around Jax. And Daryl will...I dunno what Daryl will do. But, other than his mesmerizing playing, IMHO that's why we love Daryl. He keeps us guessing.

Hey Jessiejames, from what I understand, I could be mistaken, you are a Kansas Girl? If so, what part? I happen to be a Kansas Boy, born and raised, just wandered on out to the desert of Arizona for school and somehow decided to stay.

DT....talked to Brian and he'll be at the show in Arizona. Says it's a tough venue to get a good audience recording, so I told him to talk to Chris.

Swkelley,
Cool, thanks for letting me know. I will make sure to buy him a drink or two while I am there. I didn't get to him at the last Rhythm Room show. I haven't been to the Marquee as of yet, but talked to a friend of mine who has been there several times. It sounds like it might be a tough place to record at with the way it is set up, but then again, I don't see how the Rhythm Room gets such great recordings. Maybe it is Brian? I have a feeling that where he sets up will be the problem for his recording. Hopefully he gets to Chris and some help in doing so.
