My absolute favorite live song is Florida. The jam they do at the end just blows me away. I have been lucky enough to see it twice, and I listen to each of those concerts every day. But I always have to mumble whatever JJ is saying during the jam at the end. I brought this up to Clay at the Orange Peel back in the spring, and sorry to call you out Mr. Web Master, but he couldn't recite the lyrics either.

I get lost right after he goes, "I wanna go higher, I wanna go higer."

Somebody on this board has to know what he says after that, John Dude, Firefly, Uhollis, Stan?

TN Cracka....which shows are you listening to and I will check them out and let you know if I can tell what JJ is saying. It may be like Harp & Drums where he says something different most every time he sings it (just certain lyrics, not the entire song).

I was listening to The Exit/In in 2007 and 3rd and Lindsley in 2008. I think Uhollis might have taped the 3rd and Lindsley show.

Damn ya'll are good. I can understand it now. No more mumbling, full out car concert.

Once again, UHollis proves my theory that, well, UHollis is the man!

What about the Country Ghetto rap he has been doing in the middle of the harmonica solo? Anyone know the lyrics to that?

Wow. Stan and Hollis are unbelievable. A wealth of Mofro knowledge if there ever was one. I bow in your presence.

Yes they are, I would go as far as saying that they have a plethora of Mofro knowledge.

Here is a video, one of my own in fact, that has the Country Ghetto rap that someone might know the lyrics to?

i loaded about the last 10 CG's into the player, its only on the more recent ones it seems, and that ending rap is pretty much the same each time. each line starts with "even though", and then it goes through a 4 line verse.

"even though you try to steal/take what you know was mine

even though you got no money, aint no reason why

even though you tried to take what you know was mine ( or 'know i what need')

even though you got no shame at all, it aint no god damn proof"

i think thats it. the "no shame at all" could be wrong.

also one line i heard on one of them was

"even though you try to say what you know I'd approve"

Yeah, JJ just started doing that rap just recently on CG and he always seems to do it through the harp mic which makes it hard to decifer. Good job and much thanks for what you figured out! I can barely determine more than a few words and they were no where to what you came up with.

You da man UHollis!

we have plenty of practice from pre "lyricless" website, from trying to figure out words that came outta of that bullet so often early on. 10000 islands was rough pre album, and before the bullet broke.

i dont know if those are correct, but they seem right, and they co along with the ever present themes in , tragic, 6 ways, CG, etc. so

I checked out a couple of the more recent shows on the Archive and it seems as though both Hollis and myself are correct. Some of the verses Hollis gave lyrics for are the same for each show, but JJ changes some of them up on each show too. I'm sure he just improvised it the first time he did it, liked some of the lyrics he threw in, then changes them as he feels like saying something different. Check out some of the recent shows on Archive and see what you think.
