It's over a 20 minute interview with JJ on acoustic for a few songs, so definitely worth checking out.

It has Higher You Climb and a very laid back version of King Hummingbird.
Plus a nice detailed talk about the song Ho Cake for all you Ho Cake fanatics...

That and a quote from JJ that I took from the interview when the guy talks about the Blackwater album and says "back in the Mofro days."
To which JJ responds:
"It's still the Mofro Days, man."

Great job DT (as always) at finding this jewel. I'll have to wait until I get 20 mins so I can listen straight thru.

The King Hummingbird version on the interview sounds a little more refined than the previous ones. Slowed down and sounds like JJ has added some fill notes to it. As he said in the interview, he's working on a new record, sounds like he's been working on King Hummingbird along with that.

right on Sunshine, he goes into detail about the food, you can tell he loves him some grub. He said something as well about adding to the recipes on the website since there is only one or two and he even thought they were out of date or have been revised. He mentioned that he will try to remember to grab them the next time he is at his Granny's and have them posted on the web. Hopefully he remembers and has the time to do so. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
As for King Hummingbird, I'm itching to get away from work and mess around with it on the guitar. If he didn't change the key, it's played an octave or two lower than the previous recorded versions. That and some revisions to the way it's played. Sounds great!
