Hey you two. Might have been one of Mofro's most stellar nights. They knew it, the audience knew it.
The Brighter Days was one of the most stellar performances any of us has ever seen.
The Sweet Inspiration from Mike and Derek was equally stellar.
Unreal night of music, and the people we had taken were filled in their hearts and they really needed it bad. We were filled with joy that the music was that powerful to give them the respite they needed, if only for a few hours.
Arguably, Derek is the best guitar player in the world, so you "expect" some things, but last night, especially on the newer songs it was way different.
Jimmy Herring was there, as was Dwayne Trucks as guests.
Mofro has achieved musical greatness. Their songs, though thoroughly contemporary are also timeless. They are on all cylinders.

SW, I was about to say the same thing. Maybe best slide guitar player going right now. But then again, you'll have to get that past all the Daryl lovers on here.
By no means is he not a great guitar player, but best in the world, all time, or currently still playing, that's pushing it quite a bit. He is good, but still a ways off from the likes of Hendrix, Page, Vaughn, Slow-Hand, White, and other Florida couterpart Duane Allman. To name a few... :)
