Y'all are too kind! My birthday was great! But it ain't over yet! Last night I had a wonderful time at Tipitina's here in NOLA. The band was Dragonsmoke -- a collaboration with Stanton Moore (drums) and Robert Mercurio (bass) from Galactic, the always awesome Eric Lindell (vocals and electric guitar), and the fantastic Ivan Neville (keys) of Dumstaphunk. I know the show was taped, but who knows if it will ever make it online. Before the show, my beau and I had a most delicious Thai dinner and drinks. Today, I'm supposed to be treated with brunch -- pancakes, bacon (yes, I said bacon!), and eggs. Then grilling out with pals tonight. Football season has officially begun, so Sunday I'll be wearing my new Saints T-shirt (bday gift), and watching some ball! And I don't have to be back at work until Wed. night! Whoop whoop!
