WOW! Nice start to the set.....a SMOKIN' Do Your Thing. Tonights band consists of Eric Bolivar on drums and Matt Perrine on sousaphone.....supposed to be some guests invited onstage also.

Frankie...did you tape this? ---------- "Now if you happened to come down here tonight...and you don't wanna hear the person next to you sang, and you don't want'em to dance, cause you might spill your drink, you came to the wrong show in the wrong venue."

Bummer nobody taped as I would love to know what was played after I logged off and crashed out. Seems like there aren't many tapers in the NOLA area these days....what a shame as such great music is always available there.

You right about that. I happen to know a taper here, though, who rarely uploads his recordings online. I know he has PLENTY of great stuff from all over town. Hundreds of shows! He's the man to know! (one of 'em anyway....)

ashley.....Has he ever mentioned why he never uploads any of his stuff? If it's because he doesn't have the time or the know how, have him get in touch with me and I would be more than happy to upload it for him. What's his name? Wouldnt happen to be Jim Morrison, would it?

Hey Stan, you and I could pitch in and get Malcolm an old JB3 off the TS Yard Sale if you think he'd use it to run a SBD patch for his performances..and then he could send you the tapes for uploading for us all to enjoy! I hate for any of his shows to get away just as much as you do! They're running about $65 or so these days and the only issue he would have that I can think of is not being able to control his levels with the JB3, but I'm guessing a good soundman could take care of that from the board itself.
Thoughts? ---------- "Now if you happened to come down here tonight...and you don't wanna hear the person next to you sang, and you don't want'em to dance, cause you might spill your drink, you came to the wrong show in the wrong venue."

Stan, his name is Louie Liokis. I know he frequents the taperssection message board (ID: NOLAfishwater). He doesn't upload them because of time. He tapes a lot, has a lot of shows, which I guess is too much to upload. Plus he's planning a wedding for next month. Very nice guy. I met him at the Mofro show in January at HOB in NOLA when I did my first tape. He let me clip my baby mics to his big stand. I'll send him a message about getting his stuff to you. He has some great equipment and gets fantastic tapes! I know he's got a few shows on the archive and etree.

Ash, everyone I have ever met from the TS board is as kind as they come. Very smart, very generous group of folks. I definitely recognize the name...though I did not know about his "stand". ;) ---------- "Now if you happened to come down here tonight...and you don't wanna hear the person next to you sang, and you don't want'em to dance, cause you might spill your drink, you came to the wrong show in the wrong venue."
