Top photo is of Art and my boys Vincent and Mitchell, next is Mitchell, JJ with the harp we gave him, and Vincent, then there are some shots of the showjust before I was told "No Cameras", then there are some solo shots of the boys wearing my hat and Vinny's shades, and one of the boys with Cathy aks Dollhat. The last one is of "Momo" all jazzed.....oooppps bluesed up, at home after the show, with his shirt that is autographed up on the back, and his Fender in hands.
Here is a shot of the harp, although I took many, I had a problem getting one clen enough to show the detail. At the top it is engraved to JJ Grey, and to the upper left, it is signed/engraved by Lee Oskar himself which I witnessed him do after we attended a harp clinc that Lee puts on in April, at the American Music Store in Bellevue, Wa, just accross Lk. Washington from Seattle. Lee lives in Duvall, just outside of Bellevue. JJ had my engraved harp that I layed on him last March, which he used for the last song of the night, kept it/toured with it, and brought it back to give back to me via Max on the night of the Zoo show. Pretty cool shit to know that your harp has some miles on it.
Richard, your children are precious!! Great shots of them with JJ, I envy you......one day...one day I will too have a photo of my kadiddles with the boys. Thanks so much for posting!! ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
you got me...busted. Hey, what can I say ? My wife has all three of our cds in here car( Ithink) and when I just got the hang of plucking photos from flickr, and getting them downloaded in the first place, after coming down from some sort of musical high, after trying to pull off making and taking some food, while attempting the parental dance and making sure the boys did not fall totally apart to show their true colors a well as mine in front a a crowd, that hlf had not even heard of JJ Grey & Mofro, which is the man and band that gave me hope and reason to come home from a sunfilled four nights in Cabo, that had filtered more alcohol through my liver than any other town in recent memory, as a reminder to me why I love the sun, waves, and sweat, although I am a born and raised kid from the PNW, to then be back home, anticipating a longer set of music, anxiously awaitng a song about some chick's ass that is parralell to an "Army Mule's", instead to have been not jipped but rather strung out like one of the crack ho's who travel the ol' hiway 99 just to the east of the Zoo, and be left wanting more than the few songs delivered(although I am greatful, trust me)that will have to sustain me untill I am able to get another live fix, my mind was in a near state of half assed fandom blank as I wrote the setlist above. That's my story and I am sticking to it. :)
