Just got back from Cabo a couple of hours ago, had a frickin' BLAST !! The weather, the sand, the sun, the food, the beer, the dirty monkeys, the margaritas, the rum and cokes, the fish tacos, the resort, the poverty, the people, the wife, the friends, oh my god, what a blast. Watched a little "Shark week" on the tube, not real motivating to stay in the water after that, but got wet anyways. Watched a little thing about the pilot Al Haynes in the midwest who brought that plane in for a wild landing, and then had the crap scared out of us tonight on the way into SeaTac, while sitting next to two ladies who looked like sisters(nuns maybe)sibilings, who where on a "missision from God" while the one next to Cathy (my wife), read her bible, as a sign from God, why, because of or conversation in the pool latnight with our friends, over religion, education, kids, life and margaritas, beer, and mai tais, all seemed to revolve around God and got interesting. Maybe, thes ladies today were Angels, as they sat next to us and our friends.......who knows, but I certainly did not need the last minute "you gotta be crappin' me " thought, along with my friend's wife yelling "Oh God" whole we all(passengers) gasped, gulped, and some probably crapped as we banked, swayed, bounced, and dipped heavily from side to side, just before our approach. "Not now, cause we could have done this earlier on the beach with a fish taco and a drink, while the waves pulled my limp, bloated, sunburned, dead ass out to sea for all of natures best to feed off of, looking at my smiling face, but not now, cause I got a concert to go to on Thusrdaynight, I'm on vacation, and I ain't missing JJ Grey and Mofro !!!"
Oh yes, hell, and hell again, we went to Sammy Hagar's "Cabo Wabo", had a blast. And today while boarding the jet in Mexico, I met and talked with Bruce Hastell, shook hands, and he gave me a hand full of guitar picks..... pretty damn cool. This came about after I told him how I gave my "Lee Oskar D" harp to this 4-5 year old kid in Cabo, who was playing the drums, while his dad played the marimbas. it was a treat to see that kid play, and to see the smile on his face when I put that harp in his hand, and then he blew on it, I asked him to see it on last time, gave it a wail, and put it back in his hand. Kid's got talent, and I am sure he'll be bending on that thing in no time. He and his dad were all smiles.
Welcome back Richard! I thought there was a Mofro Fanatic glow over the Pacific Ocean last week, but was hoping it was all me. Little did I know you were just across the way in Cabo. I just got back on sunday from a week vacation in Mazatlan. So I guess you would say I was raising my beers on the beach in cheers to you while watching the sun set. Very cool, glad you had a good time and are spreading not only the Mofro, but the harmonica as well. JJ is so right on the power of that instrument. Can take you from being in a lull to up beat and fired up in a matter of seconds. Mexico is quite the place and the Pacific Ocean was oh so nice last week. Wish I was still there, but didn't have access to this site, so I had to come back sooner or later. I can't live without this place.
Keep spreading the Mofro

Mofro for life in Arizona The Rhythm Room is exactly that when the boys are kicking it here. "Walking on Moonlight in the Day."
I was in Cabo in February and sat down for my first meal @ Zipper's in San Cabos. The first song that played on the sound system "Orange Blossoms". I knew it would be a great vacation!
Wouldn't want to be there this week though......
