war memorial in nashville, i saw motley crue, ac/dc and many others there in said bands hayday. weird they are playing there. more power to em, fill it up.

Oooh, I love the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. Thanks for posting, Danny! Hey, you say Oct 30 is in Nashville at the War Memorial, but the Mofro site says Oct 30 is Knoxville at the Valarium. Perhaps they are playing twice in one day, and someone forgot to post both? Also, is there any chance the boys will head over to Baton Rouge in Nov., after the New Orleans shows? And I must say how pleased I am that Mofro will be playing Tip's in NOLA rather than the HOB!!!! Yay for Autumn!

I love it! With the new schedule out the board is lighting up. TN Cracka it's good to hear from you. I can dig what you're saying. Work's bad enuf but then throw a wedding in on top of it Geesh! Been there, done that twice. Second go-round I thought I'd just be able to go to the courthouse but nooooooooooo...Trophy Wife has to have the big wedding and the fancy dress and the catered food and 150 people there...lawd almighty I baredly survived it.
To answer your question there TNC, judging from above it looks like Danny made an edit at 10:27 (EDT) this morning. He must've changed it because Oct 30 was the War Memorial show that UHollis is talking about above and it was up there still last nite, but now says Knoxville for Oct 30.
I think Danny's trying to mess wif our brains.

The big day is Aug. 29. Apparently there is a dvd that is going to be shown at the rehersal dinner and reception with pictures of us in it, and of course, the soundtrack is Mofro. Hell, there are even pictures of Tracie and I with JJ and with A.C.....YMBAMF.
I know you will have fun at the Peel. That is still one of my favorite shows. I hate it that Nashville lost out to Knoxville. The War Memorial Auditorium? That would have been so huge for them. Ryan Adams and the Cardinals played one of their last shows there. Yonder Mountain usually plays there. If they packed the War Memorial, which I'm sure they would have, literally their next step would have been the Ryman Auditorium. Just think about that. But, looks like I'm headed to Memphis instead. I can't be too mad, Nashville usually gets 2 shows a year.
Good things are going on in our Mofro world ya'll.....

OK-I am now cancelling my plans to go to Charleston to make a road trip with some girlfriends(Mofro fans b/c of me) to JAX! Who knows about the venue at the Landing? I have been to the Landing before for Gator Bowl festivities, but do not remember Maverick. Will it sell out soon? Should I jump on tickets now?

Junior...I've received a little bit of insight into the sched and while there are no Boston dates on it, there are still some dates to be filled. Keep the faith. And good to hear from ya!
MFMF...skotdee would be the man to answer. He'll jump on here and answer you. I'm pretty sure he's been there. All I know, from looking at the website, is that they got a mechanical bull you can ride. My trophy wife is all excited. (I done fell off them damn things too many times afore so she can count me out.)

Actually I've never been there, and don't know a whole lot other than whats on their website. I do know this, it was previously "club paris" as in Paris Hilton's club... and was all done up in pink. Not sure thats useful info other than trivia. Club Paris didn't do too well here in North FL (go figure), so they changed it to what looks like some kinda polished honky tonk joint. Not sure how quick it will sell out, I think its pretty big, but I know if you want to get upstairs, there are seperate tickets, and they call it "Miss Ellies Bardello"... Check the site for more info on that. I always play it safe and get tix early no matter where they play though If Im planning on being there. Aaaaanyway though, Im psyched they're playing downtown Jax, its been a while. The landing is right on the river and its a pretty fun place to hang out with a crowd. Several restaurants and bars, you can pretty much kick it there before the show and have all ya need for pre-show festivities, all the while checking out that river flowing North to meet the sea each day...

JJ's loves Boston, no way he misses it, I can be patient. Regardless, I am discussing a potential trip to Charleston, and will hit up NYC or DC for sure.
I'm looking forward to checking out Shooter Jennings, i've heard good things, also earl greyhound, i hear, puts on a very LOUD show.
