TRANSLATION

Richard: Hello. The Jazz Fest show began well...but the rain and storm seriously provoked many interruptions.... Nevertheless, I appreciated this group's music, and I then bought two discs on iTunes (Brighter Days is pretty and Orange Blossoms is superb!) When will they tour in Europe (Germany or France)?

Ashley: Hello and welcome, Richard! I am trying to speak French with you a little, but it has been a long time since I have practiced the language. Everyone here understands the sentiments you have expressed. Mofro is so good! I don't know if anyone else on this site can speak French, but let's wait and maybe someone will expose himself. Can you understand me?

Hey Firefly, where are your travels taking you now? Are things slowing down in the festival circuit? Yeah, I have a B.A. in French from quaint little Eckerd College on the waterfront in St. Petersburg, FL. I've barely used my skills in 9 yrs though, so it's quite rusty.

I just remembered that I was in Montreal for a day or two during the Jazz Festival in 2002. There were bad forest fires, and the whole city was covered in smoke. You could barely see the sun. It was eerie. But it definitely was a neat town.

Sunshine, if you don't know French, how did you do what you did above in French?

Richard, welcome! How wonderful to have someone on the board from Montreal. We're thrilled to have you here and hope you'll come back and post often. It sounds like you had some unfortunate weather at the festival but glad you got to see and hear our favorite band!

Thank you antsyashley for providing the translations! (Ash...a B.A. in French? Who gets a B.A. in French??)

Trophy Wife speaks French too? Clay, I don't know who gets a B.A. in French! I thought it would go well with my degree in International Business!

This thread is pretty funny.
