This was just posted from JJ on the mofro.net site today. (You won't believe what happened to them in Montreal!)

"We just played 2 shows in Quebec this past weekend and had a blast. The first set was at the Montreal Jazz Fest. We played 4 songs on one of the outdoor stages then we got rained out. Later that night we did a club show but the fire alarm went off half way through the 2nd song so everybody had to evacuate the building. We finally got back on stage but the venue wouldn't let us take up from where we left off so the set got cut real short again. Win some loose some but we still had fun.

The next day at Mont Tremblant was wonderful. A beautiful place in the mountains north of Montreal the weather still threatened but in the end we got the show off and running without a hitch. Lots of friendly laid back people everywhere in Mont Tremblant and Montreal. The driver gave me a quick history lesson on the french side of things and that was hip too. Looking forward to getting back there."

WOW!! What a wacky wacky couple of days! Thanks Clay for posting that.

Since the predisone is still kicking in (taken for my poison oak) I always seem to conjour up cool ideas, I now have the brain power of 10,000 grinches........ok.......

Betting dollars to doughnuts (again) I would be safe to say that more of us MOFRONIANS come to this site to find out up to date info (Thanks Clay and ALL others), sooooooooo why not have JJ make his posts here too??!??!

as estanley says........ "I'm just sayin'"......and I will leave it at that.

Very cool, sounds like they had a few run-ins with the weather this year. The Dallas show that I went to in June had a Tornado Warning right before the show. Thank the Lord it didn't stop the show from happening. I just remember getting in the car to drive to the show and hearing the sirens going off, cursing at the sky saying, "there is no way you are gonna do this to me!" I can't imagine anything worse than going to a Mofro show only to have it cancelled or cut short, well, other than dying of course, but if a show was cancelled, it probably feels like dying or I would rather be dead...

Well snafus, shortened sets and false alarms didn't seem to damper JJ's spirits. I am sure he and the boys poured their hearts out in those shows regardless of those acts of god and man!

Really Stan? I've often snuck my way into the mens room, but have never been thrown out! And a bomb threat during a MOFRO show?? WTF!!!

I like your idea Sunshine. That is, if you've come down off the prednizone (what a rookie, who else here can get loopy just off prednizone?) why not have JJ post his updates here indeed. Next time you're on prednizone, I'll give you a number to someone who has a number to someone who has a number who can connect you to a certain someone. And you can tell him!

;>)

Prednizone. Ha! I spit at Prednizone!

I don't know. It'd be nice if somebody would come on (hey, like BOW WOW) and update us on these things.

Uh oh, I think the alien from Planet X just took a swipe at those in the Great White North.

Don't worry--she comes in peace!!

Nahhh, she's basing her info on the Windjammer show we all went to. What she's forgetting is that JJ's son was just along for that run and that they don't have one particular bus.

They lease from a company in Central Fla and select from a pool of avail buses. Any time there's more than like 4 days between gigs, all the guys cept JJ, Daryl and AC (and Dennis too I think) fly home. They stay on the bus, AC the last to come off cause he's in Orlando, then the driver goes on to take the bus home and then he flies home. (They lease by the day so that's why the bus goes home.) Next time out they may, or may not, get the same bus.

Of course, I ain't never been on the bus, unlike some of y'all--but I ain't gonna name names.
