Well, it's a sunny day here in Seattle, street fair, Seafair Pirates land in a short while, cruise in the '66 Galaxie 500Xl, barbeque some burgers and chicken later, movie outdoors, and thinking about next week too ! Short week this week, got the colonoscopy done and the all clear(thank goodness)still shuddering over that drink prep uuuggghhhh ! Next week, my little guy(almost 7yrs. old) has his annual cardiology appointment, to check out his heart, since it has been almost 7 years since his last/first open heart surgery, with more to follow, so we all go as a family to those visits at Children's Hospital, make a day of it, and then do something fun afterwards or try to anyways. Then, the week is almost over, and it will be off to Winthrop, Wa. to take in three days of the Blues, and most importantly and the only reason we decided to go, was to see JJ Grey&Mofro !!! Ordered my Alligator Records t-shirts, tank tops, and a couple of cds for the road, since the playere is loaded up with Mofro, needed some Buckwheat Zydeco(with JJ on board) and some Eirc Lindell. Hell again, even got them to grab and throw in on the order their last "Country Ghetto" t-shirt. So, all is good. Now I need to order some "Southern Thread" garb, so that ya'll think I am one of ya, untill I open my mouth.
Hope all goes well with yer little guys check up. Have a great time at the next Mofro show! Can't WAIT til my next fix..........and for the record, I do declare that you are one of us...with or with out the ST garb.

Hope your weekend turned out nice Richard. Glad you got that "fun" stuff out of the way ahead of time. My doc's been bugging me to get one of them done. Damn it sucks to get old. A pain in the ass. (Sorry--couldn't resist that one.)
Sounds like your little guy is a trooper; hope all goes well there and then it sounds like you've got a helluva weekend in store.
And just so you can feel really good about living where you do, in Tampa right now all you got to do is go outside and you'll start sweating profusely in (pick one) a. under 90 seconds if standing in the sun; b. under 180 seconds if standing in the shade. And people move here and say..."the area is not very pedestrian friendly is it?" You wanna say: "NO lady it's not. YOU walk to the grocery store and see how long it is before they come out and sop you up from the sidewalk and squeeze you into a bucket!"

funny stuff there Clay!! True to form, although from my recollections of living in Florida for some 24 years, I don't recall that shade made a difference. Has that changed?

I tell ya it's 10,000 degrees in the Louisiana shade, too.... I remember the good ol' days when I lived in Florida. Ya just gotta go to the beach bar, have some brews, and bask while watching some live music. That always made me forget about the heat.
Richard, I hope all goes well with the Dr. visit. And have fun seeing Mofro!!
