OK wow- I’m not sure what a “go devil” is but I bet it aint too fun being hit in the head with it… OUCH! Poor Guy- stitches and everything? What troopers you were to head back in the morning.
My favorite part of your re-cap though had to have been “It’s time!” Spontaneous cranking of tunes is one of my favorite things- shifts the vibe totally.
What a positive bunch you all are for pickin’ yourselves (well Gregg) up, dusting him off, stichin’ his head and making the best out of the remainder of the trip…what a headache he must have had. I must admit while I was reading that part I was secretly hoping for a big gory high resolution head gash shot…ha ha
You photos are great- the pancakes are to die for- thank you so much for posting. I think Clay uses flicker for his photo slideshows- and I believe its free! You defiantly need an account.
Thanks again Sunshine~

Wow Sunny! Thanks for sharing your adventures & photos with us! I am glad to hear that Gregg is doing all right! Head wounds bleed profusely and I imagine your initial reaction was terror at seeing that much blood and not knowing the extent of the injury! I am so very glad that everything ended well!
Oh and I call that an axe......and I try to stay away from them since I am terrribly accident prone and would be sure to maim myself if I ever attempted to handle one! ---------- Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History
Yes Giggles, my emotions hopped on a rollercoaster and went for a ride that night. One thinks or knows that the time they have with a loved one can end at any time or may realize it may not "last forever", but that incident had paved the way for me to "feel" what it would be like if something bad happened to him (and I did not like it), it was very scary for me to realize how that situation could have gone in any other direction than it did. He was wearing his glasses, he was close to the fire, etc. I believe that an angel blew on that go devil just so, as to not cause what could have been a much worse outcome. Thank you for your kind words.
and the defininition of a Splitting Maul is:
A splitting maul (or mall) is a heavy, long-handled hammer used for splitting a piece of wood along its grain. One side of it is identical to a sledgehammer and the other side is an axe. ---------- "No effort, no gain No effort, stay the same No don’t you ever try to live a lie"
