Clay, this deserved a new thread just to make sure we get everyone's attention.
Our great webmaster, Clay, graced us with his talent of finding the newest and most exciting stuff about JJ and the guys. Now he found a new song by JJ, "King Hummingbird" played solo in a recent interview, as well as, a great version of Brighter Days on the acoustic guitar. The link to this and more is on the 'New Interview w/JJ' thread. Check it out!
Thanks for finding this and posting it Clay, you the man!!!
What are you still reading this for, get over to the other thread and check it out!!!

I have it in mp3 form. Is there anyway I can send that to you and you can upload it to the archive for everyone? I'm also working on capturing the Acoustic Cafe set. The songs that is, the interview I can capture as well, I've just been leaving them out.

Can someone post a link to this song please ---------- "throwin' pennies on the tracks and playin' in the rain...oblivious of the world around us that was going insane"
---------- "Now if you happened to come down here tonight...and you don't wanna hear the person next to you sang, and you don't want'em to dance, cause you might spill your drink, you came to the wrong show in the wrong venue."
Always dig fresh FRO! I can't wait to hear what this song sounds like electrified. ---------- "throwin' pennies on the tracks and playin' in the rain...oblivious of the world around us that was going insane"
For those of you looking to play this song already on the guitar or keyboard, try this for the tab/chords:
D - A - D - G
One more thing, I find it kind of odd that JJ just became a father, aka a DAD, and the first new song he plays the beginning chords spell out DAD. Hmmmm, I must be losing my mind... It must be that it has been way to long since I have seen the guys live. Just three more days!!!!!

This song definitely has some major meaning to JJ. Anyone else notice in the video how close JJ is to breaking down and crying at the end of the song? This song has to have a powerful backround to it that mirrors The Sun Is Shining Down, the only other song that I've seen JJ come to tears like he does at the end of this one...

DT, Yes one could tell how much emotion is in that song. I am sure one day, when JJ is telling one of his stories, we will find out the meaning behind this song. ---------- "No effort, no gain No effort, stay the same No don’t you ever try to live a lie"
I was playing around with this song last night on my new guitar and of course I figured out that I had the tab a little wrong. I was correct in my first impression of the song being a mix of Brighter Days and especially The Sun Is Shining Down though. It has the new Brighter Days addition with the adding the 6th note on one of the chords, but it really has a Sun Is Shining Down touch in that it is played just a half step up with the same chord progression as follows:
King Hummingbird:
D - A - Bm - G
Whereas The Sun Is Shining Down is:
Db - Ab - Bbm - Gb
which is the same as
C# - G# - Bbm - F#
IF you are playing it on guitar, you need to capo way up the fretboard, I forget which one, but when I remember, I will post it for everyone to figure out.
