I haven't been on this site for a month or two so i thought I'd visit again, see what JJ and y'all (can i say y'all? I was born in PA, not sure it's legal for a Yank to do it) were up to. Lo and behold I find out the Mr. Grey and company will be visiting the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles in August. Being that I live about half an hour away I just about pooped my pants in excitement. Are you kidding me?! A full MOFRO show in my backyard?!!! I'm a pig in shit right now folks.
You have to understand, I became a fan early last year and have only seen them once at the Doheny festival - an hour long show in the middle of the afternoon. To see a full show at a beautiful venue (I saw Chris Robinson there about 6 or 7 years ago - beautiful place, real small and intimate) is an opportunity i will NOT miss.
So if anyone's going, look for the half Asian guy with a hat on (probably Seahawks) gettin down with his bad self and give me a holler. Come on JJ, give me some Harp & Drums!!!!!
I repeat: PIG. IN. SHIT.

I think Skam feels like a pig in shit right now y'all. What do you y'all think?
I think there's a couple people coming from here on the board...Kimberly and her husband, FireFly and whomever happens to be traveling with her at the time, I think giggles and where_u_at may be heading to that show too. Sounds like a Mofro fan party.
You're gonna love what you see, and hear. The band is sounding so good and JJ's stage presence has kicked up a notch or 2 over the last few months. What you got was just a tease, now you're gonna get the real deal bro! ---------- MofroFan1 "I call any dinner party where you have to say "Excuse me" after you burp fancy." --Lewis Grizzard
You can tentatively put me on that list of people going for the time being. I'm looking to go to the Belly Up Tavern and El Rey shows in August. If they don't make it back to Phoenix this year, I will just have to go to them..

LA is a good 7 hour drive from Tucson, San Diego is a little over 5. Probably more like 6 hours to Solana Beach where Belly Up Tavern is.
I have some vacation time at work that I gotta burn up so I'm looking to take a road trip out to Cali around that time with the lady friend and hit up both the Belly Up and El Rey shows. I've never been to back to back Mofro shows yet, so why not now? ---------- Delerious Tyme
