I checked with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and there are no plans this year for a BSRIII. I don't know for sure, but probly has to do with it wasn't even half sold out last year. I think there was money lost along the way. As much as we all had fun, I don't think fun was had when they counted up the lack of funds at the end of the day.
We can keep pressing...considering this year is uglier than last I don't know that it'll do any good.
If a gig like this loses money, know what happens? The other bands and our guys might make less money on the day and if there ain't none left over...JJ takes the hit. Yep. He makes sure everyone gets paid to the point that he'll take nothing. So maybe a year off to let them play Labor Day somewhere that'll be a payday will be good and then back to St. Aug in 2010.

I wasn't aware that B-Shot was a trigger for him. I recant. Sorry JJ.
I do believe Danny played a big role in getting the first two BSRs off the ground...maybe his absense is now playing a role, too.
It doesn't take Bernie Madoff to figure out that if it ain't profitable, squash it. Business is business.

I dunno that Buckshot is a sore spot--just yanking your chain. But if you DO call him that to his face I want to be there to see his reaction.
I spoke with someone this afternoon who can't be quoted cause the info is unofficial...they said probly no BSR again til 2010. Also said that the band may have something in the Northeast Fla area for this fall that would interfere with planning and producing BSR.

give me WAY too much credit again. was there for 1st, flew in for second and it was basically a vacation..off the ground because i was in the pool.
if bsr hasn't been announced yet, i would have to guess there is something else in the works..
gf going to crawfish fest on Sat.. I'm not allowed to go she says ...so, no 'fro fo' me.. :( hope everyone is well. cheers and beers.
