I couldn't let this get buried in another thread. TN_Cracka just announced that he and Tracie will be getting married. I met these 2 young folks at the Orange Peel and they are as nice as they can be y'all. Good people, as we like to say in the south. They're a very couple in love with each other and with Mofro!
TN_C, how about putting up the info again, and telling people about what songs y'all are gonna have at the reception--for those folks who've missed it on the other thread. (And how y'all have planned the date around SEC football season. That's hard core folks. That's SEC football.)
Congrats TN!! I hope y'all have a wonderful wedding and lovely life together. Hope to meet y'all someday! Might I suggest a honeymoon in New Orleans? Just like Rhett Butler and Scarlet O'Hara :-)
Congrats, guys. I had a friend get married (in the evening) during the MLB Playoffs last year. WTF? Way to prioritize!

Thanks for the kind words everybody. We are very excited. We hired the D.J. on the one condition that plenty of Mofro will be played during the reception. Our goal is to turn the reception in to a jookhouse. One of Tracie's favorite songs is "A Woman", and we will definitely dance to that. Sticking with the Mofro connection, our first dance will be Otis Redding, either "These Arms are Mine" or "I've Been Loving You". And yes, we are planning our wedding around football season. The date is Aug. 29, the last Saturday before the season starts. We both agreed that we just didn't want to miss any games. And neither one of us wanted to take the risk being in a bad mood on our wedding day if one of our teams were in the middle of a losing streak.
My summer can't get any better, a wedding and Mofro shows. Thanks again ya'll.

Congratulations on your engagement & best wishes for a bright future together!
PS. Did I ever happen to mention that I am an ordained minister?......I know it is a terrifying thought to many, but I am officially able to perform wedding ceremonies and I can also bless beer before a MOFRO show :p
