Common threads are a bit like seperation by six degrees and Kevin Bacon. Kinda like two days of sunshine here in Seattle, and in a row. Common threads are a bit like finding this web seite, enjoying the company, learnin' some new things, meanings, recipes, and seeing more Florida plates on cars than I can remember, such was the case today. Common threads are a bit like getting the leaks/drips taken care of on the 1966 Ford Galaxie 500XL, stuffing the kids and wife into it, and making late dinner ride out to the Eastside, to Burgermaste Drive-In, and enjoying the food, sun, open windows, and having a 1959 Corvette convetible, pull up and park next to you, so that you can trade stories. Back to the Florida plates if I may,for again today I saw another, yet it was the trailer, behind the pick-up, that got my attention. It was a small covered trailer, like a "Featherlite", only big enough to haul one Harley. The back of it is what caught my attention because, it was painted up with a sunshime on it along with "From the Sunshine State, to the Sunrise Place (I think that's how it ended) and the plates were from Florida, with Okloosa on the bottom, and on the lower left of the trailer was painted "Lance and NOLA Bob". NOLA I thought, hell I know what that means now, and at the moment I didn't think or care if Lance and NOLA Bob were, well let's say traveling partners..... Hell, it was a Florida plate, something with _ _ _ Loosa on it, and hell again, NOLA too ! I instantly assumed that they knew their music, and must certainly have heard or knew of JJ Grey & Mofro, which meant I needed to attempt to put myself in a driving position, that would allow for me to get close...close enough to use my best Yankee accent, and ask them if the knew of what I spoke. The were in fact turning ahead of me, but doing so in a lost and from the wrong lane fashion, which indicated to me that they may in fact not know what I was talking about any more than they knew where the were, or how to get there, let alone answer any of my questions. So, like the big fish that got away, you'll have to just trust my story. I wonder if this will help or hurt my cause in getting my Yankee ass adopted by a loving Southern family ?
