Ok Gang, Y'all got me going now. I am now motivated to fix up and bring the boys something when they come to town. Thanks for the history, insghts, and photos on ho cakes, yummmmm. So, here is the deal, I already have a little something for JJ that I think he will enjoy, that I plan on giving to him in July at Winthrop. But then when we see them play in August at the Woodlawn Park Zoo, I believe we can bring food nto the venue, and some friends are going too. So, I am stoked now, and would really like to brng something that rings close to home for them. So, if you guys/gals have any recipes that you know that work, can be made to take with us, eaten cold, or given to them so that they may reheat it, assuming their bus has the means to do so, I would greatly appreciate your input. Also, what combinations....dinner,oooopps....super, lunch, desert, and if I could get my hands on say a beverage, that is from the South, say a bottle of something....... let me know what y'all would miss or enjoy if you were away from home for any period of time. Hey, and I think that I will put a little something from here in the mix, but will concentrate on their style of food. Might even check with a couple of local places, who have some joints that are Southern influenced barbque joints. I do make a killer sweet tea......
Lunch is Dinner. Dinner is Supper. If you don't speak the language, they'll think you're a spy...or a Communist, or a Communist spy.
Maybe a little Cheerwine?...or an RC and a Banana Moon Pie? Scuppernongs, perhaps?
---------- "Now if you happened to come down here tonight...and you don't wanna hear the person next to you sang, and you don't want'em to dance, cause you might spill your drink, you came to the wrong show in the wrong venue."
