Album release dates? I think I read an article recently where JJ states that a new album won't be released for about 18 months or so.....the operative word in that sentence being think. ---------- The only thing I knew how to do Was to keep on keepin' on like a bird that flew, Tangled up in blue

Didn't even think about that. I had forgotten the second album was released on my birthday.

What about JJ's solo acoustic album? Will that date be on that list if it come to be?

Giggles got it! It took about 18 months for the last album. DT - I'd say it has to count cuz he's the guy writing 'em

I guess you wouldn't believe me if I said I got it right after you posted it?
Boy we could speculate a bunch on this huh? I mean, there are several songs on OB that have been on the live setlist for a number of years. Meaning that they were already written and composed. And JJ has said that OB came together easier than their predecessors.
Would that be the case with the next one?
And, of course, there is the proverbial "elephant in the room." Will their new little girl inspire JJ? Will he take time away from writing during this time in his life? I don't think any of us can answer those questions. Only time will tell.
I'm still pushing for a live album myself. ---------- MofroFan1 "The only thing worse than a whiny, pouting woman is a whiny, pouting woman with a flat chest." ~Lewis Grizzard

Hey Gimme, I think Take it Back to the Bridge is a cover as well if I'm not mistaken.

Well, seeing as how Gimme That Drop became Harp & Drums, I seriously doubt you will ever see that one on a cd or live again. As for Skeeter Jam, I think it's gone too.

If I had to guess, I would say Hurricane is definitely on the next album, if not the name of the next. The only other songs from the past that I can see showing up or making a come back would be Gotta Know and Harp & Drums. Those three remind me of Dew Drops, She Don't Know and WYLF on the OB album. I love Gimme That Drop, it is a regular on my live all time favorites from the Boom Boom Room from the earliest of archive dates, but it did turn into Harp & Drums, so probably gone forever. Just like the original version of Lochloosa. It's not like you go back and re-record all time greats like Stairway to Heaven or Love Me Do, so that is out of the question too in my opinion.
If they add another cover like EGIB from OB, I would have my money on something from Otis Redding... I've Been Loving You especially. If not that then one of the two from Muddy Waters (Hoochie/Mannish Boy)
The rest all new songs from the same mold as I Believe and Orange Blossoms. JJ has a daughter now to write about and plenty of time to relax. They will come to him just like they always have and we all can't wait. I know I can't.... YMBAMF

DT, seems like it took over 5 years for dew drops to show up on a studio album. Same thing could happen to Hurricane. Interesting idea to have an album of Hurricane related songs.
I'd like to hear the Rein Sanction cover on the next album.
