I was surprised at the Orange Peel when I overheard some people that didn't know about the On Fire Barbie video when JJ was talking about it. So obviously it's not been seen by all the fans. If you happen to be one of them scroll on down and watch it first so this will all make a bunch more sense.
Here's how the contest work's y'all. Make your own set, create your own situation...take a pic and submit it to the contest. Everybody votes (whether or not you have a board password you can vote) and the top 3 get some cool shit.
The photo situation has to be Mofro related in some way. It does NOT need to be "On Fire" related but can be if you so choose.
Ya ain't gotta go out and spend a bunch of money on new Barbies. You can pick them up at a Goodwill or Salvation Army or other thrift stores, although your best bet is probably your local flea market (swap meet...whatever they may be called in your parts.)
One idea would be to pick out a song and put Barbie's in a setting (and don't forget about all the male dolls too!) like in a jookhouse. Or around the table eating Granny-Barbie's ho cakes; maybe there's a teenage guy doll with his arm broke off into a nub. Or barbies floating like they're walking on AIR. I think you get the idea.
Or you could use an album name, the band members, your favorite venue...you can be as creative or simple as you want. It can be cute, funny, raucous, sweet, romantic, or whatever.
NOPE, can't do anything pornographic, obscene or any of that shit. The line is the "On Fire" video. So going beyond anything they show or do on the video is considered beyond the line.
What do you win? Cool shit!! (See post further below).
How do you enter? Same way the photo contest was done last year, I'll be creating a Flickr group page for the contest and you plunk them right there. It's eazy peazy. More on that as soon as I get the page set up.
When do you enter? The deadline for entering is Aug 15. Voting will begin the next day.

So now's the time to get those ideas done get to work! Sunshine won the photo contest last summer. Y'all gonna let her win 2 in a row??
