I've had a handful of emails the last few days asking me this and that about that and this. So I thought I'd share what I know, which isn't all that much. It's not like I get a lot of "insider information," I'm just a fan like y'all.
The band is taking off for April and May. Whether they will play ANY dates during that time I don't know. (They just added a May 30 date in the last couple days.) No...I really don't know. If I were to venture a guess I would so they won't.
They're taking a well deserved break; these are all based purely on my own speculation: Art will most likely do some gigs in Memphis, AC has like 5 side bands so he'll be playing in Orlando somewhere, Dennis most likely will sit in with some of his friends around Jax, Daryl will probly go fishin, and JJ will take a well deserved rest, take care of family matters, stuff around the farm, and most likely also get in some fishing as well as surfing.
Anthony and Andrew will perform as the Greyhounds during April. They'll be in TX, NV and California. http://www.myspace.com/greyhoundsmusic
YES, they WILL be back. NO, to my knowledge, there's nothing like a limited contract or time period for them to play. JJ has said that people are always free to come and go as it pleases them and their career. He doesn't have them sign commitment contracts to stay with the band or to not do side-projects.
NO, I still don't know nuthin about Scone's Hammond.
I think that covers it.
Keep them cards and letters comin'

these guys have been going non-stop , ALL over the country. pretty sure their wives, girlfriends, mommas, pets, and etc. are going to be happy to see them home.
greyhounds are playing new orleans during jazzfest
boom boom room presents at the blue nile : Topaz and mudphonic with the greyhounds april 26th
I will be there
if anthony is playing somewhere with one of his million sideprojects, let me know
I would say that it's probably not that cheap to transport or ship scone's hammond back to NY, it's a big and delicate organ, no pun intented ---------- If you are walking on thin ice, you might as well be dancing !!
Good for them all to take a break and just relax and sleep in the same bed for more than a night or two in a row. I can't imagine what it must be like on the road as much as they have been. They deserve to have some home cooked meals in their bellies.
your card is in the mail :-)

Hell I get snarky when I haven't slept in my own bed for more than 2 days, I can't imagine the the fatigue and strain of CONSTANTLY being on the road, crammed in that glorified beer can on wheels. We have become spoiled with MOFRO's dedication to their fanbase and relentless touring. Most acts take several months or even years at time off between stints on the road. This break is more than deserved, it is necessary. Everyone needs the restorative powers of being at home, spending time with their loved ones and simply relaxing =) Like Dorothy says "There's no place like home" ---------- The only thing I knew how to do Was to keep on keepin' on like a bird that flew, Tangled up in blue

Hmm, Legendary JCs coming to my town April 11. Wonder if AC will join in. Wish I would be here to see them either way. Will be in NOLA for spring break, though. All these years live music left much to be desired 'round here. All of a sudden, "good things are going on", but I'm out of town for much of it.
That's possible Ash, but the drummer from Nervous Turkey has hooked up with them now. (He's actually do both last I heard.) Hope you're going to see 'em anyway cause they kill.
