Yeah, this was nice listening to JJ live in the studio on the radio as I drove across beautiful swampy Lake Ponchatrain. So glad you taped, Frank! Thanks all of you for getting this up there.

Hold off on buying an iPod FireFly, I am going to be upgrading to the 120GB model in the next two weeks. You are more than welcome to have the one I have now, and just think it'll come pre-loaded with a ton of MOFRO:)

I am pretty sure even a fly would have been scandalized.....I was in quite a mood that day! Just shoot me an email with your address and I will mail it off to you as soon as I get my new one......just think, now you don't need to buy any Citizen Cope albums :P

Hey giggles n firefly, i see you ladies talking about Citizen Cope. I really enjoy his music. I am friends with the keyboard player and I have hung with Cope on many an occassion. John (keyboards) use to be with Robert Randolph & the Family Band... I met Danny with RR & FB. Citizen Cope is coming to NOLA and Baton Rouge in Feb.!!! I can't wait to hangout with them again.

I sure do love me some Cope; on the ride from Orlando to Tallahassee I treated FireFly to the sonic delight of the Clarence Greenwood Recordings and Every Waking Moment. By the time we got to Tally, she couldn't stop singing Sideways:)

Firefly...Jason replaced my friend John in RR & FB!!!! John got sick before they went to Australia and recommended Jason for the job, then John got replaced. I don't follow RR & FB anymore for personal reasons. Seems to me RR & FB aren't really HOT anymore, I rarely hear of them.

the first time I saw them was at the saenger theatre in new orleans jazzfest'05, shit was smokin HOT,
but I don't know what happened, I think maybe he got himself in some kind of weird contract situation, he was touring with eric clapton, which is big stuff, you know , not soo much room for being yourself.
jason is a very talented artist, when I met him he was playin the violin, he covers a wide ground of sounds.
his workin on his own project "jason crosby band" with his brother on bass. it ain't 'religion' but its good stuff.
I hope robert comes back out again , ain't nobody playin that shit like he does !!!

Firefly "I hope robert comes back out again , ain't nobody playin that shit like he does !!!"

WRONG, I hope you have seen the Campbell Brothers or the Lee Boys...

When Robert first came out I was amazed and astonished. but after seeing a whole shitload of shows I sorta moved on. Especially after my personal issues with some of the band and John gettin "fired"

I did see Robert with Jason once and was very impressed with his musicianship, guy can play!! multi- instrumentalist too. Hope good things for Jason.

As for Robert, it will NEVER be the same!!!

He moved on alright...straight into Citizen Cope!!!

I am friends with the Lee Boys. My buddy Chad does some tour managing with them. I almost had Big D the drummer crush me at High Sierra when I was working the stage they played on. He almost fell on top of me!!

The Campbell Brothers will have you jumpin outta your skin!!! Definitely give them a listen, you will definitely enjoy!!!
