Wow! Mofro in my adoptive southern city...I thought I had died and ended up deep in the piney woods! We're coming and binging: cooler, easy chairs, cracklins (real pork rinds!) fly dope (bug spray made with real pine tar...) Bourbon, and David and Monica, Carl and Candace, Terry and Mary, Mark and Mary (if they're together that week), Steve and Bev, Pastor Steve and his lovely wife Cynthia, Robin, and Al and Sheryl. All Wilmington locals and Mofro first timers!
Antsyashley, great pics...that's the exact flavor of the place.
I'm real ready for JJ to see the part of NC that looks a lot like his home...Real Bottom land.
Michael Williams greeting an Atlantic Sturgeon that he surgically implanted a sonic tag in 1 year and 29 days earlier. She's a bit bigger than last time!
If anybody's making a week-end of it Carolina Beach State Park is a good hovel to hang in.

So is NC Damn Yank and his crew the only ones from the board making the trip? I know he's looking forward it. Wish we were going but we got too many miles to cover in a short period of time as it is.

Well it's rainy down here at the coast. The cape fear river is calm with raindrops poping off the surface. It's humid and lots of green grass!!! We're ready for the boys and will toast Adam, I'll try to stay sober enough to get a set list.

Ooooh, nice recording!! What a fantastic horn solo in the middle of WYLF. And nice version of Higher You Climb -- one of my favorite songs to hear live. Loving the guitar on Ybor City. Damn fine On Fire. Ok, so everything is great. Such funky grooves. Great show so far, as I listen for the first time. Sounds like a good crowd givin' the boys a lotta love.
I guess no one recorded the openers?

Great show and Fantastic Recording. As soon as I saw that it was taped by Charles Fox, I knew it would be a great recording. Thanks Charles for this show and the many others I have snatched from you (especially from Smith's).
I'm a wee bit on the slow side but finally listened to this show yesterday. I was blown away, yet again. Can't wait to see Andrew and Anthony playin' again.
Anyway, I was reading Stephen King's Song of Susannah, Dark Tower VI, 2nd Stanza: The Persistence Of Magic, Chapter Seven and listening to I Believe (In Everything) and my whole world was like . . . transcendental. Mofro, your music is magic.
I'm gonna tell you how it's gonna be The Mule, Mofro, Masquerade, and Me.

Good to hear from you notfadeaway. Yeah that is a great recording huh? Yep...anybody lucky enuf to see them this summer season is gonna see the guys at a whole new level. JJ's stage presence is off the chart. Andrew and Anthony are bringing a cool vibe. Makes me want to drop everything and follow 'em for the next 4 months but I'd run out of money in about 2 weeks. ---------- MofroFan1 "I've bought houses in less time than it takes for a woman to shop for a skirt and blouse." ~Lewis Grizzard
