Well...actually the whole band went to Washington. As dirtcracker mentioned on another post, the guys played at the "Inaugural Celebration with Democratic Governors at the Corcoran Gallery of Art," one of the inauguration events happening yesterday (Sun, 1/18). (There's a guv somewhere out west--I can't remember which one--that's a huge Mofro fan.) Be sure and check out dirtcracker's post on the Va Beach thread; JJ mentioned the gig and at the end closed with American Trilogy which he said they'd be playing at the Gov thing.
Joining Dennis on horns (where's Art?) is Van Battle on trombone and Dr. Alex Norris on trumpet. I can only guess that that's Al Street behind JJ, based on the fact he sat in at the Va Beach gig the night before. We know that's Daryl on the left because the person has on rust-colored cords. AC is looking spiffy and I guess decided it may be innapropriate to wear a wife-beater (he's got his hair dressed up and a jacket on, looking fine ladies.) And we'll make an assumption that poor Adam got cropped out of the shot. ---------- MofroFan1

i forgot to mention, JJ told mentioned in VaB that Scone has a busted ankle. didn't mention how he messed it up, but that he had a "busted" ankle then JJ laughed. so, hidden story i guess.
Pure guess...he may have done it on his bike. He has this little fold-up bike that fits into the equip trailer and when they're on the road he rides it for miles and miles every day...when he's not jogging.
i'm thinking Art is behind Al Street and JJ. Al would come out of the corner he was in at VaB and would sorta stand between JJ and Art...thats what i'm guessing is happening here too.
Nice pic. I hear the Corcoran is a real nice art gallery, but I've never been. It's weird how I've lived in DC Metro most of my life and never get out to play tourist much. Anyways, thanx for sharin!
Peace!
