As for the in-store there dirtcracker, I think that's right but I dunno for sure cause we got there during Sun is Shining. I can assure you that was the last song (Traffic, got lost, I took down shitty directions...fun stuff like that.) Special shout-out to Park Ave CDs for having JJ; nice indy store with lots of stuff. (Please take down the old address from your website!)

OH! And JJ's keyboard was back. Maybe it was out being tuned? :) Maybe it was just making a special appearance?

A review of the show is already out.

Brighter Days**
Florida

*With our local boy Chris Bell(!) kicking ass on harp.
***JJ sits down at the piano, as JohnDude right behind me is doing what sounded like some ancient chant: "...Brighter Days, letitbebrighterdays, ithastobebrighterdays..." JJ hits the keys and nothing happens. He looks back at the soundboard with a curious 'whassup?' look and then just shrugged it off and Danny ran up with his guitar. JJ improvised just that quick and gave us a one of the best Brighter Days you'll hear.

LARGE crowd there...awesome! I got pics cause Danny hooked me up with a photo pass (they wand you and shit and charge $2 to check your camera if you're carrying.) HOB only lets you behind the barrier for the first 3 songs--sucks--but there were no other photographers there for the show. Just me and my little nifty pocket camera. This is when I wish I had real photo equip and knew how to use it. Pics'll be up next week.

Tapers galore...thanks Frank, John, Eric, Scott, who also video taped the show. Dig it!

Gotta run to Tallahassee; already 3 hours behind sched.

You beat me to the punch...I'm tracking the show now & putting together the setlist!

Damn good time up front with the usual suspects. Singing, dancing, jumping...and gettin' all up in the face of Cowboy Mouth's sound man! HAHAHAHA!!
If you mess with one of us, you get the whole family!

Damn I love you folks.

TALLY HO!!!

Wow!! What a great review from the Sentinel. Thanks for the heads up on the HOB. I'd better call today to see what their camera/taping policy is in NOLA. Can't wait to see your exclusive pics, Clay! It sounds like y'all had a blast. Sorry you missed most of the in-store. I guess that was taped too? Thanks to all you tapers and video-ers!

Safe travels to Tally!

Yes on the in store Ash. 2 or 3 tapers. HOB's rules are fucked up. I think it's company wide--no cameras.

It was packed for sure...but the most people I've seen there was at a Hootie & The Blowfish show in 2006. It was insane.

I love seeing the boys in bigger venues for sure...now I hope I can get my wish to see these guys in Jannus Landing in St. Pete

Dougloosa and son had a great time at the show as usual. Clay you are getting harder and harder to recognize with all your hats and facial hair, but you found me so that was easier, too bad you got lost in the big O'Town and missed the early show.We forgot to throw one down, I guess we was havin too much fun. got to see Scott he recognized me,so I told him who I am on the site. Also saw a taper buddy of mine that has been around for quite a while, he was on the other side from Scott.
I had emailed the Sentinel Music Critic after I saw his article on JJ Friday and told him how the band had changed etc gotten better, tighter etc. since he saw them,. I also told him I would write a review for him if he was not going- but he said he was coming, and he wrote a great review.. Could not have done better myself, anyway good to see all ya'll till the next time.

Heck of a time down at the HOB. Security was nuts, the new HOB opens in Boston next month, hopefully Security wont be as bad. It was packed in that place. Great show, JJ was pretty fired up. Couldnt really get good positioning on the floor by the stage. Definitely a good time down in FL.

Sorry I missed you there Junior. Wish we'd have hooked up and shook hands. Man it was packed for sure. But it could've even held more! Danny told me the next day that there was about 1,500 there and they hold a little over 2,000.

Thanks Scott. It helps a lot to have great stage lighting. And to take a ton of pics. I threw out twice as many cause they were out of focus, bad composition, etc. If I had a real camera and actually knew what I was doing I could really do some good stuff! But between me with a camera and you guys taping, we've got all the angles covered!!
