At the show in Delray this past weekend, JJ and the boys kicked into Hoochie Coochie Man and I told JJ to bust out the Bullet mic. He said the Bullet is broken (yet again) and he even went into a frenzy during a show and stomped on it and kicked it around he was so pissed. So, I'm sitting at my house on Sunday and decide to look them up on the internet.....well, I found several places that sell them and they range from $110.00 to $130.00 each depending on where you buy them.......got me to thinking that hey, maybe some of the fine folks on mofrofans.com might like to pitch in and buy JJ one or two new ones.....kind of like a Christmas/Happy New Years gift from the list.....so, any of you out there want to pitch in? If so, drop me a line at swkelley@hotmail.com.

Not "SHURE" (nyuk, nyuk) if his is vintage or not. I do know that he's told me on a number of occassions that the cord is easily pulled loose from the housing on the one he has and that is a problem with the newer model also. I figured we'd just buy him a few and tape up real well where the cord goes into the mic with some electrical tape....that should help. If not, he will atleast have a spare or two until he can get the other/s fixed.

I use shure mics when I tape (Hell, i love them), and for a awhile (pre-mofro) I learned to play the harp. I used my green bullet harp from shure (what else?) and it is the bomb. A good buddy of mine and a excellent harp player, fingers taylor uses the green bullet. I think it would be nice if we did gett JJ a new mic

Danny: Yeah, I've read several reviews on the shure bullet and everyone raves about it's performance, but say the cable pulls out easily. That's why I suggested that we wrap that sucker with a bunch of electrical tape to help.

I have received two emails from people willing to pitch in, please contact me if you'd like to help out. I figure if we can get 10 - 15 people to throw in $20.00 a piece, we could get 2 or 3 of them (atleast 2).

Stan I'm in.

Clay...can we set up a pay pal button on the website that would allow fans to "DONATE NOW"?

I suggest that we set up a simple PAY PAL account that Danny has access to so he can get a few bullet mics. Always keep a back up.

Few years ago I was at the Bamboo Room, JJ busted into Harps & Drums using the Green Bullet. Hollis & I knocked over a few chairs & table dancin' to that jam.
