Thanks dirtcracker. I have to give credit to the webbuilder folks I use; they did most the work. I wish it had a feature that showed number of views. A chronic lurker/sometimes post-er emailed me about that the other day saying it'd be cool to be able to see how many people have viewed each post. I agree wholeheartedly but that's not an option I have at this time. Hopefully in the future though; and please keep any suggestions coming!

i remember a board i used to be part of...there was a place you could go and see all of the members and how many posts they had. we also had ranks for the posts but it got to where people would just post dumb crap trying to move up in rank for posts.

oh yeah, we had the "where ya from" thing too.

it was funny because on another board we all got mad at everyone and made up NASCAR logins and pretended like we were drivers. lol

I wish. I've complained to my host server on more than one occasion. Because the main servers are in California, the board's time is on Pacific time. Why they can't have an option to change it is beyond me, and beyond anyone who's tried to answer. What they've told me, essentially, is that they've put my complaint in the proverbial suggestion box.

I shoulda pointed that out a long time ago that if you're in Eastern time to add 3 hours, Central add 2, Mountain add 1. My bad. And actually the server folks I use do actually take suggestions under consideration if there are enough of them, so hopefully they'll give us options in the future.

I forgot. One suggestion someone emailed me last week that I'd really like to see happen is to be able to see how many visits have been to a post. The way it is now you can see how many people have posted to a thread, but not how many visitors. He was wise to the number of daily/weekly lurkers we have.

On any given weekday, when we post, we may think we're "talking" to 10 or 20 or 50 people on or from the board. But actually there are anywhere from 150 to 250 people reading the posts. And while there's a good 50 to 100 returning visitors each day, the rest roll over. So there's around 100 or so visitors to the site every day that are either new, or haven't hit the site in a while.

But the web builder I use doesn't have a feature to show thread visitors either. Someday I'll upgrade to a different type message board that has all the cool shit, but this one is included in one package price so it's as good as I can do for now.

Thanks for all the suggestions though and keep 'em coming!!

So it's fall forward and spring back if you're going east and fall down and spring up if you're going west...right?
