I heard this song in a hotelroom over the weekend , it was on the cable/satellite/TV. it was a swampy, dirty ass blues. something about 'you know me like the back of your hand' or 'I know you like the back of my hand' could've been muddy waters or somebody else. the tv screen was displaying the info on the next song not the current one (cause that makes so much sense ) so I don't know who does it. and I can't get it out of my head. maybe any of you know what I'm talking about? thanks

Maybe you are talking about "Back of My Hand" by The Rolling Stones, it's got a really gritty, bluesy vibe to it.

Nope, it's an original composition by Mick Jagger & Keith Richards. I agree with you, old Rolling Stones tracks are amazing:)

Nope, I had a half day today. I was actually sent home sick, I'm not feeling well and my boss took one look at my pasty white complexion & tired eyes, pointed towards the door and said "Out! Now!".....he didn't want me to contaminate the rest of the office. I was waiting for him to put on a SARS mask while I was packing my stuff up to go, the guy is a complete germ-a-phobe! So basically I am lazing about listening to music and playing on the internet.
Do you think the song you are inquiring about is the Stones tune I mentioned?

I think you're all mistaken. I'm quite sure that was Barry Manilow from his "Copacabana" album.

ya'll a bunch of "FF's" ( funny fockas )
I haven't been able to check it out, my headphones broke, can't turn up the volume at the library, but I think it sounds right, cause as the fog cleares over that crazy night I think I remember seeing something about the stones/bigger bang on the TVscreen.

I think the instrument that you refer to is the soprano suxaphone :p
Nothing says dirty swampy blues like Kenny G, except maybe Yanni or John Tesh :p....lol

...or the Archies. Now that I re-think it, I believe that song was on their second album but got overshadowed by their breakaway hit "Sugar Sugar". They got even swampier when Jughead took over the sticks from Hot Dog.

You really have me re-evaluating my original stance Clay. But now that I've had time to ponder FireFly's question, I truly believe it was Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem that sang that song. Those damn Muppets could really rock out, and Animal could take Jughead on the drums anyday!

No, no, NO. Listen to the chorus. You can definitely hear Veronica and Reggie harmonizing; it's the Archies for sure. And you really think Animal could take on Jughead? Maybe. But when Moose hits that tuba man, ain't nobody can touch it. ---------- MofroFan1

Okay, I'll give ya that Moose sure rocks a tuba, but nothing beats the one-two punch of Zoot on the sax & Lips on the trumpet.

So we are in agreement, it's the Rolling Stones, right? :p
Your Archies comments had me rolling:) I bow down to your superior witticisms!

Oh no Clay! I didn't mean to drive you to jump! Is there anyway I can talk you off the edge? My willingness to step foot on a bridge is a testament of my great esteem for you, because I am petrified of those concrete gangplanks! I guess my irrational fear comes from my family's annual summer journeys to the Keys via 7 miles of pure hell!
