FYI

Skippers site charges $2.50 service fee
Mofro.net charges $4.00 service fee

I usually buy all my tix via mofro.net
that shit adds up when your buying multiple tix

I just called Skippers...officially 700 people.
Sometimes it feels like more, who knows.

With the exception of the Bamboo Room, Skippers is my FAVORITE venue to see this band

You can save all the service fees by going to Skipper's and buying them there (if you live in Tampa, of course). Advance tix are $20 flat. But I just stopped by there about an hour ago and they still haven't printed them yet; said it'll be sometime next week.

I can see what Danny's saying from the band's perspective. When they opened near 30 years ago, the county wouldn't let 'em put up a permanent stage (it borders a residential area) but said they could erect something temporary. So they put in a long flat bed trailer. Over the years, they dressed it up a little; a little more; put up facades and shit. Eventually the county grandfathered it in as a permanent stage. And there it is--underneath a lot of paint, banners, bamboo, tin sheets, the stage is a flatbed trailer still today. It's not very wide and not very deep.

Last time the guys were there, poor Dennis. The first night there was no light on him, and he was wearing a black shirt. Unless you were up front, it just looked like one of those Disney things where the trumpet is moving around and playing on its own.

But for fans it's an awesome fucking venue. That sums it up as best I can!

Danny knows his stuff. It will sell out. If there's anyone that has to wait before they can buy their tix--for whatever reason--let me know and I'll talk with the owner there and see if he has a feel for when they'll sell out.

yeah...I can see how/why it sucks from the artists perspective.

Fan perspective...HELL YEAH!!!

Thanks for perservering Danny...

I'd love to see a 2 night run at the Social in Orlando, but I'm sure the "backstage" area is better at HOB, as the Social really has almost no backstage area at all.

Damn Danny...one word, two letters...Robitussin DM. Over-dosage on it is a good thing. Poor Skipper's. Consider it our Shea.
