Wow! What an incredible show last night. I got a copy of the setlist but he changed so much from it during the show and came back for two additional encores.

The set according to the setlist was...

Higher you climb
circles
Lazy fo acre
jookhouse
i believe
mississippi
orange blossoms
lochloosa
fire flies
everything good is bad(Hootchie cootchie man)
war
move it on
WYLF
Ybor City
Ho Cake
----------
Brighter days(sun is shining)
On fire
------------
Not on original set(Got my Mojo working)

Songs in parenthesis were what he played instead of the original set. Highline was rocking.

JJ left at the end of sun is shining in tears.

HCR was a great opener.

Also Ian Hendrickson Smith and Alex Norris played horns in addition to our favorite dancing duo of Art and Dennis. There was also a curly haired dude tearing it up on guitar during ho cake.

'JJ left at the end of sun is shining in tears.'

I hope JJ's Granny is doing OK. Just in case, I'll add her and the family to the prayer circle. And this is for everybody out there who's had sunshine in their eyes recently (and that includes me) -

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while

-J. Denver

Peace and Luv,

Mo

Paradise is a great space with the exception of the giant pillar in the middle of the dance floor. Great club though very old school very JJ. Saw Galactic there last wednesday and got pretty excited thinking about seeing JJ and the boys in this good space. www.thedise.com

::Sigh::

I had tickets to see my boys in Galactic the night of the HighLine show

And what sucks is they were at the Fillmore just a few blocks away

At least glad it was a great show for everyone who made it there

And luckily for me, the Galctic set was off the motherfucking hook

Question for all y'all who went to the NYC show. So, Van Battle did not play trombone? I understand he lives in NYC, so I would have hoped he would join in for that show.

They won't mean a thing if you don't live free.

Yea what a great show! I have a video that I took during The Sun is Shining Down. I still need to upload it from camera, but I will post a link once I get it on YouTube. When JJ walked of stage at the end, and the horns just went nuts I almost fell to the floor lol. But I was holding the camera so I couldn't mess up the shot. Good times.

Antsy the first time I saw JJ and the boys was in 2004 at Bonnaroo. I knew I was watching something special right away.
