Scone lovers--you'll love this! Actually, everybody will love this, and we all love Scone! I'm sure some of ya'll have seen this but I never had. I'm sure some of you also know that Adam is involved in promoting and getting people involved in music around the world as a Jazz Ambassador. This video features the Jazz Ambassadors "The Cultures of Rhythm" featuring Kevin Louis on trumpet, Adam on Organ, Aaron Thurston on drum set, and Kevin 'Bujo' Jones on percussion. Recorded at Teatro Libre, Bogota, Colombia on 25th Jan. 2007. Here's a chance to see Scone kicking ass in an entirely different genre, as well as seeing him looking rather spiffy in his sport coat and organ with a drape on it.
I should add that it is one kick-ass performance; in addition to Adam, the percussionist is the shit.

I LOVE it! Thanks for posting! I am so glad you did! Also serendipitous -- I was planning to post a SCONE thread, myself! I was curious about what his 4 CDs were like that he sells on the Mofro merch page under "Side Projects". I got to have a chat with him after the show at George's in Fayetteville Saturday night. I specifically asked about those CDs. I told him I was interested in getting one and asked which one I should get. He told me a little about each and I decided I should get the one with the blue cover to start out. He sings. And it's funky kinda soul-like. I heard a few samples online and some songs on his myspace too. Sounds really cool. I am looking forward to getting the CD. I can't just yet (I spent all my money last weekend!). But soon enough.
My question is -- who has a Scone CD, and which one, and how is it?
To bad he's not playing a real organ. Seen him play with Sugarman 3 a couple of times when I was in NYC long time ago. Get Pure Cane Sugar and Soul Donkey. Great albums.. Acually all there albums rip. They're on the daptone label. http://www.daptonerecords.com/

I thought that thing looked kinda small for an organ! I guess that explains the drape? Pardon my musical ignorance, aclarke, is it a synthesizer? It produces a good organ sound, at least I think. Thanks for the recommends on the CDs.
digital keyboard/synthesizer of sometype.. before he got the custom hammond b-3 he used rock a korg organ on tour and use a hammond organ of sometype when having access to one.
