Well, the day has finally come. I'm headed up the road to the valley of the sun, Phoenix, Arizona, and most importantly, the Rhythm Room. The guys are back to kick it once again. I will be back tommorrow night and will post with everything I have from the concert. The last three shows at the Rhythm Room were taped and I'm assuming and hoping that Brian, the taper from those shows, is attending once again. So, hopefully everyone will get to enjoy yet another amazing recording of JJ Grey and Mofro. It's a great time, especially after the video debut just a day ago and the last stop before they hit San Diego, where as we all know, we have shown up for them on the radio site where no one could compete with Orange Blossoms on thier song poll. Why am I sitting here typing when I should be on the road to the show? If anyone else is going to the Rhythm Room, I'll see you there. 'I swear it's 10,000 degrees in the shade!!!'

We just now walked in from the long trip to Santa Fe. I'll try tomorrow to post the set list as best I can remember (which ain't gonna be too accurate, I'm sorry to say). It was a JJ accoustic 3-4 songs, then Hill Country, then the main event. Venue was packed which surprised me because they never have been to northern NM before, yet plenty of people knew who they were. Enough to not be bashful and sing the words to the Mofro anthem, which of course is Loochloosa. Not one taper in sight, bummer. Finally got to hang for a while with AC for the first time and it's all true, he IS very nice and extra friendly and he does smile all the time. Almost pulled off a coup and followed them to Phx but it was not to be. A promise: nobody will be disappointed with either band. Do not miss this for any reason! Anticipation is warranted.
Oh yeah, Clay I did show JJ the picture (You know, the Goose) and he is lookin' for ya because I told him what you said. You might want to disappear next time they play in your town! This is simply a word or two to the wise, so I expect it to go unheeded...

Us night owls are waiting on ya DT. My guess is you're either still at the club, or too pumped up to sit. I know you had a great time. When you get some sleep, sober up, and get some food in your belly (not necessarily in that order) then you can regale us with all things about the show!

Well, I just got back early this morning and can't post to much, back at work catching up to everything. I will post about the show, the setlist, and everything else when I get the chance, which will be soon. I got alot of catching up to do with the message board, man, I can't believe how much ya'll have been posting in the two days I was gone. What I can believe, or know, is that JJ played I Believe at the Rhythm Room on Wednesday night! My girlfriend's jaw hit the floor when he started playing it. The place was packed, JJ and the guys had a great time. Yes, I have video of pretty much the entire set. I will get to work on it as soon as I can cleaning it up so you all can check it out. They played about the same amount of Orange Blossoms tracks as they did from the previous three. Encore was She Don't Know and finished with a jam filled Ho Cakes. The rest of the band was stellar. Horns showed up like mad. JJ was getting tired on the harp. He broke his E harp at the very beginning of Junior. Alot of 1st timers from those I talked to at the concert, but they all knew to sing, and sing loud for Lochloosa. Man, just another great show and great time. I will post later with more.. Much much more...

Hey ya'll, sorry for the delay. Been away from my computer for quite some time and just now getting to the editing of video and finishing up the set list for the Rhythm Room. I've been trying to upload How Junior Got His Head Put Out on You Tube, but the video is too long from what I can tell. It's a tad over 10 minutes, so I might have to put it in as a part one and part two. When I get it up I will let ya'll know. It's pretty killer. Turned out better than I thought it would, the sound especially. A little jumpy, but my arm was getting tired holding the camera up. Much more to come. Hey Clay, I got a video clip especially for you. You'll be the first to know when I have it up.
