OK this still isn't posted on the website http://bearcreekmusicfestival.com/ but there were flyers for that festival being distributed at BSR that listed JJ Grey & Mofro as the 3rd headliner for Bear Creek!!! Back to Suwannee! I was already on the fence for this one, but this officially pushed me over the edge. Look at that lineup! SICK!
We've already got a campsite reserved. The shit is ON.
Looking at the tour dates, they are already playing shows on the 14th & 15th, so it looks like a Sunday show? Not sure, but Im tellin ya, they're on the flyer...

Wow that IS an awesome lineup. Please please don't let this mean they will cancel the Jackson show on 11/15. I'm half tempted to hop in my car and drive the 4 hrs to Starkville, MS tonight to see the show (since school was canceled today and tomorrow). $10 for tix?! What a deal! Only problem is -- all the hotels are full from evacuees. And road conditions are dangerous....

Bearcreek website updated, Mofro is on the list! I highly doubt they'll be cancelling any shows antsy, so it looks like we'll be getting a Sunday set, maybe closing the fest?
SaWEET!

i was already planning on going to Bear Creek anyway so this just completely topped it off for me...now my wife is even going with me and probably my 5 year old son who's favorite song is Blackwater..
the rest of the lineup is completely sick, do not miss Big Sam's Funky Nation, great stuff, the keyboard player is pretty darn bad ass and a friend of mine ...let alone the freakin Motet w/Kyle Hollingsworth for 2 sets, Ivan Neville, Yonder Mountain for pete's sake, Robert Walter, Shak Nasti, Skerik, the list goes on...most of the less known acts on the list are great as well... a little cold out there last year during the same weekend so be prepared for 40 degree nights, bring it on....thank god for Mofro

Yaaayes! Can I hear an amen from the sisters?!!
What a lineup indeed. I guess most everybody knows Robert Walter made an appearance on the "Blackwater" CD, so I know I got to see him. ---------- MofroFan1

Thank ya, peacetree sista! You captured the feeling deep down in your soul didn't ya?
Firefly, I remember reading about that project. It is very cool. Can't see myself doing it now; wish I'd have considered something like that 30 years ago though. What an incredible way to spend the summer. Welcome back! Might you should've waited until hurricane season was over? ---------- MofroFan1

Bear Creek schedule is up, Mofro is playing the Amphitheater Stage! Stoked! I love it when they play that one instead of the meadow stage, just feels right, all up in the trees...

Damn, now I'm really bummed we're not going. That is THE stage to see Mofro there. I assume you're audiotaping Scott?

I just ordered some new batteries & good buddy skottdee loaned me a voltage regulator box so there will be no problems with my equiptment for taping Bear Creek.
Now if I could just find something to regulate "User Error"
I wonder if anybody might be running video @ Bear Creek... ---------- "throwin' pennies on the tracks and playin' in the rain...oblivious of the world around us that was going insane"

heh heh, I wonder...
Actually, I've been in touch with a crew that is running 24p HD video for the entire festival! I was going to help them out but thats a bit out of my range of equipment/expertise. BUT, who knows how hard it will be to get ahold of that footage, or how much will be made available, so Im sure a "backup" plan will be in order :-)
