Yep, Will Conner, and hes actually from Australia, but JJ did say he was currently living here in North FL... Cool guy, I saw him open for JJ solo back in '06, then again last year at BSR.
Only one other, Steve from Clearwater. He's got a sweet Schoeps setup. His is the source up on LMA for last year's BSR, as well as most of the Skippers shows from this and last year... He said he'd have his recordings up asap, he's usually pretty prompt with uploading. Im surprised its not up already.
I've been hesitant to discuss this, as Im still PISSED about it, but I had "recorder failure" during the JJG&M set, and lost that entire recording. I got all the other sets, but lost Mofro. Go figure. The damn JB3 completely froze, crashed, whatever you wanna call it. Locked up. NEVER had that happen before. Hey John Dude, (or any other JB3 tapers), you ever experience this? Had to "hard boot" the damn thing, started it back up and it works great, just locked up for the most important set, thats all. grrrrr...
FORTUNATELY, I ran a "backup" source that sounds FANTASTIC. Let me go through the proper channels here and we should be able to get that one up. More soon...
Yeah, its always been spot on for me, never had a problem until this weekend. That said, I have two myself, hence the backup. Looks like I need to upgrade to a "grown up" recorder sooner than later...
Thanks for taping that Skotdee along with the other taper. Sorry to hear about the problems during the Mofro set. Good to hear you atleast had a back up. Much thanks again goes out for the CD Connections taping and getting it out so fast. I know that it not only takes time and work to do what you guys do, but you probably miss the majority of the shows much less get any time to enjoy the concerts, especially if you have bumps in the road like you had a BSR. The cost of missing out on enjoying things like that and the actual physical cost of the equipment to give us such recording is much appreciated as well. I am out in Arizona and going to the Rhythm Room set on the 10th and will definitely take your advice and buy the taper whatever he wants to drink for the evening, wish I was or could be at a Mofro concert along with you to do the same thing, if you were taping it or not. Maybe that will happen someday, but until then, I think I speak for everyone in extending our gratitude to what you do and sacrifice so we can enjoy the live recordings that move us so. I know my ipod is filled with the 4 albums and the rest live recordings from the archive. That's only possible because of all you tapers.

Mofro for life in Arizona The Rhythm Room is exactly that when the boys are kicking it here. "Walking on Moonlight in the Day."
Thanks to JJ and Mofro for the music. Thanks to the tapers for sharing the music with us. Thanks to the people who buy the tapers a drink so that they are appreciated for sharing the music with us. Thanks to those of us who are thanking the tapers. Thanks to Clay for this site and all his hard work. Thanks to....
The Mofro community deserves a standing ovation!! Selfless, fun, appreciative, amazing people. So glad to be one of ya!!
I am grinning from ear to ear... "back up recording" huh? I think I know what that means, Scott you get my vote for taper of the year, seriously man! You are making it happen in a big way...by the fans 4 the fans
I know things like this take time, I hope that one day my mailbox might have little sumptin' sumptin' in it, as all of your work is superb.
The JB3 is great for recording, inexpensive, portable & easy to use for stealth recordings(if your into that kind of thing) However...it does occasionally screw up, I think the software is written to only screw up at the pinnacle of a show. Taping is an exact science of gettin' lucky, not taking yourself seriously, and being willing to spend lots of money/lug heavy gear around/not go up front & dance with your freinds/and knowing it's a 50/50 shot that you'll pull a stellar show or fukitup royally. I know from experience. ---------- "I went to London & I couldn't get a woman...but I saw a lady pushing a dog in a baby carriage"

It’s 2025 and my expenses to keep this site up are just over $800/yr. If you want to help offset my expenses to keep this site up please consider pitching in a buck or 2. Much obliged!
