Im Scott from Atlanta GA. A few years back I drug my friend to a Virginia Coalition concert at a place called Varity Playhouse. I have seen VACO before with my favorite band O.A.R.
I didnt even know VACO was opening for another band that night and wanted to leave after VACO left the stage but my friend convinced me to stay to at least check out Mofro for a while to see if we liked it.
At concerts I like to feel nice and at this show I was feeling real nice and was blown away as was my friend from the unreal sound coming off the stage piercing our very soul.
We have seen them four time since that night and never thought we would travel out of state to see another band other than O.A.R. but Mofro changed our mind.
Anyway I hope all this dont sound corny but I just thought I would share my discovery of Mofro.

Nice story...FINDING the good shit is half the fun. I have seen VACO a time or two...and I liked them fine, but if they were who you came to see and MOFRO was an accident, Brother, you got your money's worth.

Great story foots, love it! Glad you found us too. With the exception of that estanley guy, you'll find a great group of folks here. One of 'em likes to yank people's chain.
I just caught O.A.R. first time a few months back on the music digital channel; it was the live show at MSG(?). It killed. They're on my list of CD wants.
I'll save the details for the other thread, but my wife and I discovered Mofro by accident at a music festival. Funny how that shit works!

Oh, btw, it doesn't sound corny at all.
And I forgot on the last post--we have a really ugly hazing ritual for new board members. estanley's in charge of it and boy is he mean.
