She said Dirtfloorcracka was cut from the selist, presumably cause Shuckin Footer was set to come on. I wonder if Earl Greyhound went long?
No word yet if anyone has been molested (including JJ.) Course, giggles won't tell so someone else will have to tell us. (She can't help herself y'all. Something just comes over her.)
Liz and giggles are now turned loose in Wash D.C. God help our country.

Those were giggles words exactly. And as I said above, that was her presumption. I've no idea as to if that was the case. No doubt though that 9 is very short.
They still hit 18-ish songs Sunny, sometimes more. But on this tour you gotta an opener, then 2 of them are co-bills. Looking back at the recent lists, it seems the avg is 12 songs during this tour. You got the most by far in Greenville with 16.
Oh...almost forgot: you're such a potty mouth.

well, they were the opening band, I mean fair is fair, ---------- "Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." -Nietzsche
you are right FF, I am just going by what I have read on the board about their setlists gettin cut short, I have not witnessed it first hand.....until then, I shouldn't say anything..... ---------- "If you've never seen us before, don't be bashful - sing along from start to finish........and dance & feel good.....there's enough shit in the world, let it all out...........Brighter Daaaaays...."
Great time last night in DC. One of the best clubs I've ever been to...top notch hospitality, stage crew, merch sellers, professional everything. Very impressed, and I can see why it is constantly voted Best Small Venue in America.
Earl Greyhound, if you haven't gotten to the show early enough, is absolutely rockin- you have to see them live. It's a 3 pc including drums, female bass with piercing vox :), and gtr with killer vocals They JAM, we love them, and are very down to earth and supportive-just plain cool. They're outta Brooklyn
All 3 bands have been great with set times, gttin on and off at the right times. Sometimes, in NYC for instance, Shooter came off 10 mins early before us. They are all very respectful to us and us to them. We only had 60 mins to play last night, partly because the 9:30 club had a whole different show booked after ours. That was what was contracted. (they cleared the room from 10-11, and opened doors for 2 more acts, that's why we played at 7:15). One of the reasons we only played 9 songs is just to be sure we respect the time slot, and also the boys have been jammin a little longer going around the horn, possibly turning a 5 min song to an 8 min one.
Just want to be clear, for the record, that Shooter and his guys are as cool as can be. Everybody gets along great between all 3 bands on this bill, and nothing but positive vibes coming to and from Shooter Jennings and Earl Greyhound.
My Mama always told me if you can't say nothing nice, don't say nothing at all...that is what I strive to teach my children and usually through my example, all three would be disappointed in me......as I am in myself.
.........when you talk about someone you never met just by what you hear, is gossip; good or bad, gossiping is another trait I am trying very hard not to have my children pick up. I would like to apologize, I am sorry :o(

I see that lbw beat me to the punch in disclosing that there was another show booked @ 11:00 pm in the venue. When I texted Clay the setlist, I had no clue about the 2nd performance! I peeked at the setlist before the show started and knew that they were only slated to play 10 songs so I figured there were some sort time constraints at the venue. When dirtfloorcracka was cut, I just assumed that the boys were running over and out of respect for Shooter's upcoming performance, they dumped a song. And I agree with lbw, Earl Greyhound are awesome; I've really enjoyed their performances. So for anyone who has an upcoming show on their agenda, I would highly recommend arriving early to catch their set!
Adam thanks for clearing everything up with us, it's much appreciated!! I did not mean to incite any negativity on the boards with my texts to Clay......I'm sorry!
one of my favorite songs is by earl greyhound , its called "SOS"
thanks adam for clearing up that issue, I'm glad to hear that there's great comrademanship and respect between all of those musicians. it can't be easy. good thing kanye west is not on that bill, lol I really like that you even bother in your busy schedule to come on here and talk to us, we love it.
personally I kinda formed an opinion over something I didn't real know any details about, I appologize for any negative comments i might have made
you know us, we love "our" band the best and if we could we would have them play themselfs until they fall over, ya know ,nobody matters more than MOFRO !

Holy shit, I'm about to post twice in one day!!! LOL - You know we all truly appreciate yall, and that you are the most passionate for 'your' band.
Someone told me last night that's exactly what this message board is for. No love lost, ladies!!!! I just felt like I had to sprinkle a little seasoning on the conversation from my experiences with the other bands. I would never intend to make anyone feel bad for comments made, but it had to be said. Let's all shake it off together....ready, GO:) I am officially a nerd!
Hey y'all, don't tell him I said this but I think we near bouts got lilbowwow broke in. Twice in one day! He's still no Danny...
Thanks bowser for coming on with your comments. You hit the nail on the head. We get very passionate about our band. Sometimes our emotions may get the best of us.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm the most guilty party of all. I tend to run off at the mouth, sometimes with reckless abandon and no regard for the impending foot to come. (On the other hand every now and then I may say something just for the sake of creating dialogue. Shhhh)
I speak for myself, and I think for everyone on this board, that none of it is said with malice, nor personal attacks. It's the human condition to draw conclusions--based upon perceptions--that often have no basis in fact. That makes me very appreciative of Adam coming on to tell us the facts.
Again I think I speak for everyone when saying no one here has any personal dislike for Scooter Jennings. His music maybe, but not him as a person. We're taking potshots because (in our heads) he's messing with our boys and with the time we get to spend with our boys.
I've not seen any potshots taken that are out of line. To the contrary most often the comments are said with tongue planted firmly in cheek. And the man is a celebrity, a public figure that opens himself up every night to both public and private criticism...as all artists do.
Y'all know I don't put up with personal attacks of any kind on anyone. I'm so damned proud to be a part of what I think is one of the most respectful boards of its type on the web.
I promote respectful debate, always have always will. When it turns ugly is when I react swiftly, but it has been so rare that I have had to do that it is hardly worth mention.
I don't see where y'all made negative comments or created any negativity. Like Adam said above...that's what the board is for. Everyone has opinions and we have the right to express them. It does not always mean they're right but providing they are intoned without ugliness and anger then everyone has the right to say them. No shame in that. This is the place where we can share our passion and feelings about the band, and their tour and their setlists and JJ's haircut and Daryl's pants and on and on.
Lastly, while I find Sunny's attitude about saying something nice or not at all very refreshing, admirable and certainly humane, somehow I got raised different. My mama would say the same thing about say something nice or not at all and then 5 minutes later be talking bout people. Talking bout people is a form of entertainment in my family. My motto ended up being in the form of the quote from Teddy Roosevelt's daughter Alice: "If you haven't got anything nice to say about anyone come sit next to me." ---------- MofroFan1
Oh...one more thing. FireFly, comrademanship? Hmmmm...maybe comradeship or better still camaraderie. I just love the words from your planet! Like 'firstly'
