i just wanna add that the opening act was completely mindblowing - The White Buffalo. Think Johnny Cash with a bigger pair of balls. yeah, that's right, I said it. Let's put it this way, he intro'd a song by saying it was about him falling in love with a hooker. Like I said, Johnny with bigger balls. The guy was full of presence, totally amazing. i always want to promote the indelendent musician so here's his website..

http://www.thewhitebuffalo.com/

I HIGHLY recommend you all check this guy out, he was totally amazing.

Good Morning & Happy Saturday Skam! Thanks for posting the setlist and your review! I have to admit that those two songs often leave me speechless as well! I am glad you had such a wondeful time.

Now I need to check out The White Buffalo and hopefully I'm not plagued with mental images of Johnny Cash with swollen goods as I take a listen :p

HOORAY for DT, two nights in a row of Brighter Days!
Was it as good as you imagined it would be? If I were a betting woman, I would say the reality probably by far outweighed the anticipation!! =)

Yes Giggles, it was well worth the wait in more ways than one. The LA show turned out to be quite the Harp show! JJ was blowing tunes like mad last night! Four songs right in the beginning and two in the encore! He was about as tired as a human can get by the end, quite the prescription. Brighter Days was tear jerking yet again, And was special being front row two feet away as he plucked the strings to the anthem with the crowd singing right along with him. The crowd got a little crazy towards the end, but nothing could stop the vibe! Waited around for quite a while afterwards to talk to JJ and the guys, but I will save that story for when I get home and have a full keyboard to tell it. What a two night run, much thanks to Kimberly for the hospitality, everyone who was there with me to see it all, of course Clay for giving me something I've been waiting for a long time for, and the band and the crew, they are the best thing going out there by leaps and bounds, I know I don't have to explain why, if you've experienced them live or have the chance to talk with them, you know, you know, what I'm talking about!

Boy it shore sounds like a great time was had by all! And DT--2 nights in a row, what a treat. I'm sure you're glad you made the trip from AZ to SoCal.

I'll have to check out White Buffalo for sure.

Skam, best way to do the pics is to get a Flickr account. It's free (you don't need to upgrade to the paid one.) Once you download their software it's easy to upload photos straight from your photo files. Once you upload the pics, you can choose to put a whole slide show in, or just some indiv pics. Either way, there's an embed code that you copy and then paste into your message board post.

There are other alternatives to Flickr...somebody jump in here cause it's the one I use and the only one I'm familiar with. But I do know there are others.

If you know someone with an FTP site I could snag them from there.

You can post them to your MySpace acct and I can send you a little strip of code along with instructions on how to use it to post pics to the board.

Last resort is you can snail mail me a disk.

Any alternatives I'm missing? Anyone??

Skam,

You Sir, must have quite the pair as well...cause I know for damn sure I could not have made such a statement about Mr. Cash!

Thanks a bunch for delivering solid new music to my ears.
