This Thursday's (8/7) show from Boulder will be carried on a live stream from 97.3 KCBO radio. I've got a message in to the folks there to be sure we've got the right link and the right time.
On mofro.net it says the performance will be at 10 pm (assume Mountain time, so 8 pm on the east coast) and to "...check out the live KBCO Studio C Performance."If you go to the home page here http://www.kbco.com/main.html there are actually 3 choices.
There's a Studio C link on the home page, but I can only find archives when I go there.
There are 2 links to live performances on the home page...a 'Listen' link and in the masthead with their logo there's a 'listen live' link. I went to both; they were playing different songs. Confused? Shit, think how I feel.
AND, I can't find anything on there where it says they're streaming the show Thursday night. After a good hour dicking around with it trying to figure it out, I emailed them. If'n I don't hear back by Thursday morning, I'm gonna call 'em. If I still can't get somebody with an answer, I know somebody in Boulder that can find out (or maybe already knows.) Unless one of ya'll figures it out. Could be it's right in front of my ugly face and I don't see it.
I'll be damned if we're all gonna miss a live performance where they'll be doing new material! I'll make sure we've got an answer on where to go and what time by early afternoon Thursday at the latest. ---------- MofroFan1

I don't know Clay, it looks to me like this a different, studio performance to be aired, not the free show on the hill.
<<"If you can't make the show be sure to check out the live KBCO Studio C Performance.">>
That reads like they'll be doing a studio performance, separate from the free show. Plus if you click the studio C link it will tell you about the history of these sessions...
I also just now got an update from Alligator Records, and now it's coming back to me (so little time, too many brain cells to kill.)
Here is the email I got, which clears up my confusion (well, at least my confusion about this, but life in general confuses me.)
"Just wanted to clear up the Boulder show broadcast details.
The actual evening performance will not be broadcast live on KBCO.
The band will be performing live in-studio on a feature during the day that KBCO calls "Studio C". As of yet, we do not know the exact time it will air on the station but we'll try to let you know if we can. The performance will probably be archived as well, so if folks miss it live, they still may be able to catch it in the archives."
Okay, it's over, but we didn't miss too much. My official source told me they played 2 songs: "Orange Blossoms" and "Everything Bad is Good." Guess they aren't letting too much out of the bag, huh?
The set should end up on KCBO's website archive though. If I'd have looked through them earlier, I'd have noticed that the artists only do 2 songs. Oh well!
Give it maybe a few days and then cut and past this link to go to their archive page: http://www.kbco.com/pages/studioc_ondemand_gl.html
Thanks for the offer to tape Frank! I'm sure another opp will present itself again soon enough.
Oh, almost forgot, someone who's going to be there at tonight's show in Boulder across from the Fox is going to email the set list to me; as soon as I get it I'll pop it up. ---------- MofroFan1

It’s 2025 and my expenses to keep this site up are just over $800/yr. If you want to help offset my expenses to keep this site up please consider pitching in a buck or 2. Much obliged!
